Feduniak Can't Be Bluffed

David Benyamine and Maureen Feduniak were involved in a heads-up pot just now. Benyamine bet third through sixth streets and Feduniak called him down all the way.

On seventh with a board of {5-Spades} {K-Clubs} {J-Spades} {8-Clubs} , Benyamine made yet another bet into Feduniak and she called with a board of {2-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} . Maureen flipped her hole cards over showing, ({Q-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {8-Hearts} ) for just a pair of queens. Benyamine tapped the table and said, "No pair," as he mucked his cards.

After this pot, Feduniak is up to 33,000 in chips while Benyamine falls to 52,000.

Negreanu Unstoppable

Daniel Negreanu has just eliminated Rob Hollick from today's event. At showdown Hollick showed a Broadway straight but Negreanu revealed ({5-Spades}{5-Clubs}) {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{A-Spades}{7-Clubs} ({K-Clubs}) for a full house to jump to around 65,000 in chips.

Negreanu still has a way to go to catch our chip leader Chad Brown who has about 90,000 in chips, but with 30 minutes of play left in the day, it will be exciting to see Negreanu near the top of the overnight leaderboard if he can maintain this position.

"The Greek" Making a Strong Showing

As mentioned earlier, Archie "The Greek" Karas is playing in today's $10,000 Stud World Championship. Currently, Karas is in the top 10 in chips with 53,000. Could this be the start of the comeback that Tom Sexton talked about in Part 10 of his series of articles on Karas? Stay tuned to PokerNews's coverage of this event to find out.

Elizabeth Eliminates Lederer

Howard Lederer was short-stacked and all in on fourth street against Shannon Elizabeth. The boards ran out as follows:

Elizabeth: {8-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}-X
Lederer: {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The cards were flipped creating a mess on the table, so we're unsure which were the hole cards, but we know that the jacks and eights of Elizabeth were too good for the sevens and deuces of Lederer, sending him to the rail.

After the hand Elizabeth quipped, "What's funny is that his sister (Annie Duke) is my coach!"

A Blackjack Card-Counter's Dream

We just witnessed a hand where the up cards of the table were as follows: {2-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {2-Hearts} {6-Spades} {5-Spades} {3-Clubs}!

"Six-high?!?" came the cry from several at the table.

Interestingly the player who had to bring in with the {2-Diamonds} actually took down the pot!

Negreanu Likes Queens

As we walked past Daniel Negreanu's table and watched him take down another pot, he flashed a pair of queens in the hole and turned to us and said, "I've had like twenty pairs of queens today!"

The card-rack is going to be hard to beat if this form continues as Negreanu now sits with 55,000 in chips.

Seidel Slips

Three players went to the river with Erik Seidel leading out with a bet showing {3-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. Carlos Mortensen made the call with {2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} before a third player raised over both players showing {4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

Seidel made the call and Mortensen thought for several moments before folding. The third player showed ({Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{K-Spades}) {4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a straight much to the surprise of most of the table considering the action, as Seidel mucked his cards in disgust to fall to 27,000 in chips.

This table has also been recently joined by T6 Poker pro Mel Judah.
