Marcel Knows All

Razz:

Every street was bet in a hand between Kevin Saul and Marcel Luske. On the river, Luske showed ({10-?} {6-?} {4-?} ){A-?} {8-?} {Q-?} for a ten. Saul showed ({J-?} {8-?} {2-?}){Q-?} {2-?} {A-?} {5-?} for a jack.

Luske slapped the table and said, "How do I know?"

Play Begins to Slow Again

Earlier we saw several bustouts right in a row. Since that point, play has slowed down quite a bit. With only 21 players left, thoughts are beginning to shift to making the final table. As a result, some players are playing tighter than they have up to this point and some of the shorter stacks are planning their time to strike to try and build some chips.

Phil Ivey Eliminated in 23rd Place ($7,998)

Phil Ivey - 23rd Place
Phil Ivey - 23rd Place
Hold'em:

On a flop of {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} Jennifer Harman checked from the small blind and Phil Ivey bet out. Harman then check-raised and Ivey made the call.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Harman led with a bet and Ivey called again.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Harman bet for the third time and Ivey called once more.

Harman tabled {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for the queen-high straight-flush!

Ivey flashed {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades} for the rivered straight as he found himself crippled. He was eliminated soon after when he ran into the pocket jacks of Rostislav Tsodikov. Ivey finishes in 23rd place for $7,998 in change.

Redraw

The players have just redrawn into three new tables and we'll have the lineups for you shortly.

We've also learnt that all tables will be starting again on hold'em.

James Mackey Eliminated in 25th Place ($6,284)

James Mackey - 25th Place
James Mackey - 25th Place
Stud-8:

James Mackey was crippled in a hand against JJ Hazan. Mackey was showing 3-4-5-4 and Hazan had 9-9-8-7 and the betting was capped on the river as Mackey showed (2-4-2) 3-4-5-4 for a full house but was bettered by the (9-8-X) 9-9-8-7 of Hazan.

This left Mackey with only about 30,000 in chips.

Hold'em:

A few hands later Mackey committed the last of his chips with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} on a board of {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} but JJ Hazan had the lead once again with {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

Needing a spade, ace, or king to survive the turn and river bricked out to eliminate Mackey in 25th place for $6,284 in prize money.
