Is it Cold in Here?

Markus Golser and Steve Zolotow were involved in a discussion over the temperature in the Amazon Room today.

Golser was saying how cold it was in here (we agree!) but Zolotow replied, "I'm actually pretty hot at the moment. But that might be because of the three glasses of wine I drank at dinner!"

Todd Brunson Building Some Chips

Preflop, Kevin Saul made it two bets to go against Todd Brunson. Brunson made the call. On a flop of {Q-Spades} {J-Hearts} {5-Clubs} , Brunson check-raised Saul and Saul made the call. Brunson then proceeded to bet out on the turn of the {4-Diamonds}. Again, Saul called. Brunson fired one more time when the river fell an {A-?} and Saul again made the call. Brunson turned over {A-Spades} {5-Spades} for two pair and Saul flashed {K-?} {J-?} before throwing his cards into the muck.

After the hand, Brunson is up to 63,000 and Saul is down to 54,000.

Loi Tran Doubles

Hold'em:

Gerry Drehobl opened with a raise from under the gun and Loi Tran reraised from the button. Drehobl made the call as they took a flop of A-K-2.

Drehobl led out for 2,500 and Tran raised for his last 4,000. Drehobl made the call with K-Q but trailed the A-Q of Tran.
