Rousso Wins a Huge Pot Without a Showdown

Beauty and Brains Win Big Pots
Beauty and Brains Win Big Pots
Vanessa Rousso: (X) (X) {3-?} {Q-?} {5-?} {4-?} (X)
Opponent 1: (X) (X) {5-?} {Q-?} {A-?} {9-?} (X)
Opponent 2: (X) (X) {5-?} {2-?} {K-?} {10-?} (X)

There was betting an raising the entire way and then on sixth street, Rousso was able to bet out and then reraise after a raise. After all the action and a huge pot, Rousso bet her last card and both players folded. This allowed Rousso to scoop the massive pot without a showdown and increase to 27,000.

Building the Deck

Woody Deck was all in on the seventh card, but he didn't look at it before making his bet. He was boasting a {5-?} {7-?} {6-?} {A-?} on board against his opponent's {8-?} {4-?} {5-?} {9-?}.

When the cards were revealed, Deck played {7-?} {6-?} {5-?} {3-?} {A-?} to win the hand.

A few hands later, Deck was at it again. He was all in after betting back and forth with his opponent on each street. On the end, Deck made the nut low.

Deck: {K-?} {5-?} {4-?} {3-?} {2-?} {A-?} {A-?}
Opponent: {9-?} {8-?} {7-?} {6-?} {5-?} {2-?} {A-?}

About ten hands or so before all of this action, Deck had only 3,500 chips. He is now at 16,000.

Barry vs Berry

Barry Greenstein: (X) (X) {A-?} {9-?} {2-?} {9-?} (X)
Berry Johnston: (X) (X) {3-?} {A-?} {J-?} {Q-?} (X)

Johnston raised after Greenstein completed on third. On fourth and fifth, Johnston bet and Greenstein called both times. On sixth, Johnston called a bet from Greenstein when he took over control of the action.

After seventh, Greenstein bet and Johnston folded. Greenstein decided to be nice and showed {6-?} {5-?} {3-?} underneath.

Another Crazy Prop Bet

The same table that had the prop bet earlier with David Levi has another bet going. This one is a lot bigger.

John Juanda and the same player from earlier, Allen Bari, are betting on whether or not Bari will win the tournament outright. Juanda will win $500 if Bari loses and end up owing him $75,000 if he does win. With around 170 players left in the field, Bari is saying that he is "plus E.V." versus the field.

Seed Drops Down

Huckleberry Seed was involved in a pot with Jon "PearlJammer" Turner and another player. Turner only made it to fifth street before folding, leaving Seed with one all-in opponent.

Seed: {4-?} {9-?} {A-?} {3-?} {6-?} {8-?} (X)
Opponent: {2-?} {10-?} {7-?} {6-?} {A-?} {5-?} (X)

Seed's opponent bested him with a seven low. Seed is now down to 3,400.
