Double Dip for Greenstein

It should be noted that there are a few players in today's field who are playing both this event as well as another. While some are in the PLO event going on, of particular note is Barry Greenstein, who happens to be involved in this event and is also currently heads up in the Razz event.

Barry has a commanding chip lead in the heads up battle and currently strides over to the section here while on breaks during the other. Though many players double dip from time to time, this may be the first double dipping during a heads up confrontation.

Even though he's playing in two events at once, there's a good chance Barry won't be giving away a book today

Daniel Negreanu is among the leaders in the Pot-Limit Omaha w/rebuys event. Negreanu's stack is down to around 8,800 in this event.

Bill Chen Eliminates Rep Porter

Bill Chen led out preflop from under the gun and Rep Porter put himself all in from the big blind. A middle position player called the raise and the three were off to the flop.

Flop: {7-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}

Bill bet the flop and his opponent called. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and Bill fired again and was called. The river was the {8-Spades} and again Bill led out and was called. Bill showed {Q-Hearts} {K-Spades} and his opponent mucked, while Rep Porter showed {2-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} for his share of the pot. Although Porter had found an eight on the river, it wasn't good enough to beat out Bill's trips.

J.C. Tran Wins a Big Pot

J.C. Tran
J.C. Tran
J.C. Tran, Liz Lieu and Russell Rosenblum each put in four bets before seeing a {6-Spades} {6-Clubs} {4-Spades} flop. From the small blind Tran bet and Lieu and Rosenblum both called, as they did when the {K-Spades} came on the turn. But when the {2-Clubs} fell on the river and Tran again bet they both laid down their hands. Tran is now up to 56,000.

Deeb's Cap

Freddy Deeb was involved in a three-handed pot that was capped preflop. The board ran {Q-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {9-Spades} {6-Hearts} with one bet and a call on the flop, turn, and river. Deeb turned over pocket rockets, which were good, and he is up to 18,000 after the hand.

One of the opponent's said he had kings, which he had mucked.

Thor Hansen Eliminated

A player led out preflop and Thor Hansen made it two bets to go. His opponent called and the flop fell {4-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {4-Spades}. Thor led out on the flop and his opponent called. The turn was a {5-Diamonds} and Thor's opponent led out and Thor put himself all in. His opponent called and showed A-5 for fives and fours while Thor turned over K-J for top and bottom pair.

Unfortunately the river was the {A-Clubs}, eliminating Thor from the field.

Marcel Doubles Through Chan

Terrence Chan led out preflop and Marcel Luske bumped the bet. Chan made it three bets and Marcel was able to get all his chips in the middle. Chan called and showed pocket nines while Luske was in great shape with pocket kings. The kings held up for Marcel, who also spiked a third on the river, and he's now up to 8,000 in chips.
