Nathan Tuthill Eliminated

In yet another hand where all of the action happened before the flop, Nathan Tuthill put his stack in the middle with {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and got called by Brian Saltus who held {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

The flop of {7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} didn't help Tuthill's cause, and the {2-Clubs} on the turn put the nail in his coffin. The {K-Spades} on the river didn't change a thing, and Saltus pushed his stack to 180,000.

Liesy Takes Down Kahlmeyer

In another hand where the money got in before the flop, Tim Kahlmeyer shoved with {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} from the button and got called by Marco Liesy who held {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades} from the small blind.

When the flop of {K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs} put the king in the window, Kahlmeyer needed help that didn't come with either the {7-Hearts} or {5-Spades}.

When Theo Tran busted from the table a few hands later, Liesy began heads-up play against Eugene Katchalov.

Binger Chipping Away

Nick Binger has taken the chip lead in his heads-up match with Ralph Shannon. With his brother Michael sitting a few tables over playing another event, Nick is sitting with 255,000 to Ralph's 195,000 right now. Things look very serious over there.

Rajesh Vohra Gets Aces Cracked

Shortly after winning a pot against Maura Harris, Rajesh Vohra got very unlucky against Jeff Carris after they were all in preflop.

Vohra: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Carris: {8-Clubs}{J-Spades}

When the board came {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, Vohra held aces up while Carris had a gut shot that got there when the turn came {4-Hearts} and the river brought the {9-Spades}.

Maura Harris Heads to the Rail

Yesterday, Maura Harris credited her boyfriend Dennis Phillips' lucky Cardinals hat with helping her advance to Day 2. Unfortunately, she didn't have the hat with her today.

Harris got her stack in preflop with {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs} against the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} of Rajesh Vohra. While she started off ahead, her lead vanished on the turn when the board came {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

Vohra now has 190,000

Tran Wins the Race

Dan Hirleman - Out
Dan Hirleman - Out
Theo Tran set Dan Hirleman all in before the flop. Tran tabled {K-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}, and Hirleman was racing for his tournament life with {5-Spades} {5-Clubs}.

The board took the life out of Hirleman as it ran down {9-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {2-Spades} {7-Diamonds}. Hirleman's horse couldn't keep up, losing the race and sending him to the rail.

Three-Handed

Table 64 is one of the three-handed tables, but they may not be anywhere close to finishing up. Here's how that table looks:

Petr Jelinek - 200,000
Joseph Cutler - 165,000
Franco Brunetti - 85,000

One of those three men will earn their seat at tomorrow's final table.

Howard Boyd Goes Bust

In another hand where a player moved in a with a weak kicker, Howard Boyd's short-stack shove with {Q-Clubs}{4-Spades} didn't work the way he wanted when he got called by Ronnie Chin who held {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

When neither player improved on a board of {5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Chin's kicker played and Boyd was bounced from the event.
