Seiver To Chip Lead

Nick Schulman raised to 800 from the cutoff and was met with one caller before Scott Seiver made it 3,600 to go from the big blind. Only Schulman made the call and drew one against Seiver's pat {J-}{9-}{8-}{5-}{2-}.

Both players checked and Seiver took the pot following a muck from Schulman.

Schulman slips to 11,600 and Seiver climbs to 45,500 and the chip lead.

Arieh Eliminates Opponent

Facing an all in for 5,025, Josh Arieh made the call next to act.

Both players drew one with Arieh's {8-}{6-}{3-}{2-} pairing up with a {2-}.

Fortunately for Arieh, his opponent's {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-} also paired up with the {8-} to see Arieh eliminate his opponent and move to 27,000 in chips.

Schulman Chips up

With a short-stack player moving all in for 3,350 from the hijack, both Brandon Cantu and Nick Schulman called from the blinds.

All three players drew one and checked the action after the draw.

Schulman tabled his {J-}{9-}{5-}{4-}{3-} to rake in the pot and move to 16,000 in chips.

Nam Nicked

Nam Le found himself all in pre-draw holding {9-}{7-}{5-}{2-} against an opponent's {J-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}.

Unfortunately for Le he paired up with the {2-} to see him hit the rail.

Straight Bluff For Cantu No Good

Scott Seiver opened the button to 600 and Brandon Cantu made the call from the big blind.

After Seiver drew two and Cantu three, he fired out 900 only to have Seiver raise to 2,075.

Cantu then exposed his hand thinking that Seiver had just called, but after quickly being informed of Seiver's raise, he scooped his hand and opted to raise to 4,000.

Seiver bumped it up to 6,000 and Cantu mucked his {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-} to slip to 43,000.

"Very good sell" Cantu stated.

"That's what it takes to beat the best these days" added Seiver as he raked in the pot to move over the 30,000-chip mark.

Ferguson Survives Then Falls

Chris Ferguson not so happy anymore
Chris Ferguson not so happy anymore

Chris Ferguson had his last 150 all in on the big blind with Michael Binger and Gavin Griffin giving him action along with a side pot after both players committed 2,800 in chips.

Ferguson stood pat as the other two each drew one with Griffin firing out 3,300 to win the side pot.

Ferguson tabled his {9-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} to more then triple up to 900.

Unfortunately for Ferguson, Griffin would end his tournament when his pat {J-}{9-}{7-}{5-}{4-} remained ahead of Ferguson's {9-}{6-}{4-}{2-} after he drew a {K-}.

"I'm just trying to make the table easier. Busting Ivey and Ferguson." stated Griffin.

"Are you absorbing their powers?" added Griffin's buddy Terrence Chan as Griffin began raking the pot to take him to 15,500 in chips.

Seiver Chips Up Cantu

With around 7,000 in the pot Scott Seiver stood pat and Brandon Cantu drew one.

Checking dark, Seiver was then faced with a 2,500-chip bet from Cantu which he called.

"Ten!" announced Cantu.

"Yes . . ." spoke a happy Seiver at the prospect of winning the hand.

"Ten-eight" added Cantu to sink Seiver deep back into his chair before folding his hand as Cantu spread his {10-}{8-}{5-}{3-}{2-} to climb to 41,500 as Seiver slips to 30,000.
