Cantu Can Run That Good

"You can't possibly run that good" stated an opponent in the direction of Brandon Cantu as he was drawing two holding {7-}{4-}{2-} against a pat {10-}{8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}.

Cantu squeezed out the {6-}, and before tabling his fifth card stated, "Oh I do" as he rolled over the {5-} to send his opponent to the rail and himself back up to the 45,000-chip mark.

Mike Matusow was all in for roughly his last 2,000 against Alession Isaia.

Matusow stood pat tabling his {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{3-} to be up against Isaia's {8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}.

With Matusow needing to fade a four or a deuce to lose or a seven to chop, Isaia would squeeze out the {4-} to send Matusow to the rail and himself up to 16,000 in chips.

As Matusow walked round the room talking to some of his buddies, Erick Lindgren spoke up, "hey floor, can we clear the rail. Mikey is out."

Binger Can Beat Cantu

Brandon Cantu opened to 1,600 from the cutoff and Nick Binger three-bet from the big blind to 5,000. Cantu instantly made it 13,500 to put Binger in the tank.

A few minutes went by before apologizing to the table for taking so long. Eventually Binger made the call for his tournament life and stood pat with his {J-}{9-}{6-}{4-}{3-}.

Cantu tabled his {10-}{7-}{5-}{4-} and drew one.

"I can't beat Brandon Cantu in a pot" stated Binger as he awaited his tournament fate.

"I know I'm gonna get it, I know it!" screamed a now standing Cantu as he slowly squeezed his card out Baccarat-style.

After twenty seconds of squeezing, Cantu picke the card up and slammed it on the felt revealing that he had paired up with the {7-} to slip to 42,000 as Binger doubles through to 23,000 in chips.

Cantu Climbing

Brandon Cantu has just eliminated an opponent in a blind-on-blind battle when both players drew one card after all the chips went in pre-draw.

Cantu found the {10-} to go along with his {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} while his opponent only managed to squeeze out the {Q-} to go with his {9-}{8-}{5-}{2-}.

As Cantu sent an opponent to the rail while climbing to 49,700, a few hands later he would take a pot from Mike Matusow.

Matusow opened to 900 and Cantu three-bet from the button to 3,100. Matusow called and drew one while Cantu stood pat before firing out 7,000 to force a fold from Matusow.

As Cantu climbs to 53,400, Matusow slips to just 3,200 in chips.
