Kevin MacPhee is on his way to the cashier to collect his tournament winnings after being booted from the tournament by Ben Lamb. MacPhee did everything right except fade the cards he needed to fade. He limped in pre-flop, then had the opportunity to re-raise after Lamb raised from the small blind. The re-raise left MacPhee with only a few thousand behind, which went into the middle after Lamb made the third raise.
MacPhee:
Lamb:
The board ran out to give Lamb a jack-high straight. He now has 258,000 in chips.
The following places all earned $5,305 in prize money.

In the space of a few orbits, Alexander Dovzhenko has becoming the overwhelming chip leader. He recently raised a pot pre-flop from early position to 15,000. Donald Vann called in middle position and Michael Jacobs also came along from the big blind. Jacobs and Dovzhenko checked a flop of , inducing a bet of 45,000 from Vann. Jacobs folded to that bet, but Dovzhenko moved all in. Vann wasted no time in announcing a call.
Vann:
Dovzhenko:
Vann flopped two pair, nines and eights, and was up against Dovzhenko's nut low draw and straight draw. Neither of those draws filled, but Dovzhenko made a running two pair with the turn and river to make aces and jacks, better then Vann's jacks and nines. Vann rolled his wheelchair away from the table, collected his payout slip, and was off.
Barry Greenstein and Spencer Lawrence saw a flop of . Greenstein bet the flop and Lawrence raised. This prompted an all-in reraise from Greenstein and Lawrence made the call for all of his chips. Here's what the hands told us.
Greenstein held the for a flush and straight draw with a pair of sevens. Lawrence held the for a pair of jacks and a weaker flush draw.
The turn brought the and gave Greenstein a higher pair than Lawrence's jacks. Greenstein now held a pair of queens. The river completed the board with the and Greenstein's queens held up, giving him the big pot and bumping him to 198,000 in chips.
Phil Hellmuth is fond of trapping and managed to spring one of his traps against Kendrick Roberts. Hellmuth limped into the pot pre-flop and was called by Stephen Tanner in the small blind. Roberts, sitting in the big blind, then raised to 18,000. Hellmuth re-raised all in for a total of 36,000, chasing Tanner out of the pot. Roberts called with and found himself up against Hellmuth's . The board double-paired, no help to anybody, , to give Hellmuth the double-up. He's now at 78,000, while Roberts was crippled to just 6,000 and went out a few hands later.
