Over at Michael Mizrachi's table, a middle-position player had raised to 600 with Mizrachi and the player in the big blind calling.

The flop brought {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs} and the big blind checked with the initial raiser tossing 1,300 into the pot. Mizrachi called but the big blind folded.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Mizrachi's opponent bet 3,100 with Mizrachi once again just calling.

The final card to come into play was the {9-Clubs}. Mizrachi was checked to this time around. After eyeing his opponent's stack, he tossed in a bet of about 15,000, which would have put his opponent all in if he were to call.

Mizrachi's opponent folded, giving Mizrachi the pot and a stack of about 29,000 chips.

One for Harman

Omaha-8

David Bach and another player limped from early position before Jennifer Harman completed from the small blind. Terrence Chan checked his option in the big blind. The flop then came down {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and action checked o the unkown player who bet. Harman called, Chan folded and Bach called.

The turn brought the {K-Hearts} and Harman checked. Bach also checked and then the next player bet. Both Harman and Bach called.

The river completed the board with the {3-Hearts} and everyone checked.

Harman tabled the {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and won the entire pot to move to 24,500 in chips.

Another Bet for Barbieri

Al "Sugar Bear" Barbieri just bet $40 with Daniel Negnreau on 100:1 that he'll win the tournament. Last time Negreanu gave Barbieri 100:1 on a bet like this in a tournament it was for $20 and Barbieri came second, just missing out on an extra $2,000 in cash along with his winnings.

Turner Flirts With Elimination

Hold'em

John Turner raised from early position and got called by a mid-position player, the button and the big blind.

The big blind checked and Turner bet when the flop came {4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. All players except the big blind called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Turner once again led out with a bet. The mid-position player folded, but the button raised. Turner three-bet and the button called. Turner made one last bet when the {j-Diamonds} came on the river. He was raised by the button and took a moment before calling.

Turner's opponent showed {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Turner mucked, leaving himself just 475 chips.

On the very next hand Turner was the big blind when Jennifer Harman raised under the gun. Action folded to Turner, who went all in for just 25 more, with Harman calling.

Harman: {j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Turner: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}

The board played out more favorably for Turner this time around, coming {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Spades}, giving him a double up and the opportunity to keep playing.

How Much Should a Guy Worth $10 Million Tip?

A shout was heard across some tables over to Daniel Negreanu asking, "Hey Daniel, what's the most you've tipped today?" The question was in reference to a recent episode of PokerStars' The Big Game where Internet entrepreneur Jason Calacanis beat Negreanu in a large pot and then asked the dealer what the biggest tip Negranu had given her was.

After guessing that the amount was probably close to $10, Calacanis said, "The guy's worth $10 million," and tipped $500.

The conversation turned into a lively discussion over what is appropriate when discussing tipping habits. For the record, this reporter walked away from the conversation without any tips.

Matusow Cools

Pot-Limit Omaha

It seems as though Mike Matusow may have (at least temporarily) won his latest battle of wits with Erick Lindgren. When we strode past their table recently, Lindgren was gone and Matusow was about to collect a modest, but important pot.

A player acting under the gun had raised to 450 with David Benyamine calling from the button and Matusow calling from the big blind. On a flop of {j-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} the initial raiser bet 550 into the pot, leading Benyamine to fold. Matusow raised pot, which was close to 2,500 and took it down when his opponent folded.
