Tom Dwan Eliminated

Tom Dwan called a raise to 400 in late position and was one of four players, including the big blind, to see a flop.

The flop was {k-}{j-}{6-} and the original raiser bet out 800. Dwan called, one player folded and the big blind raised to 3,000. The original bettor folded and Dwan moved all in. He was called by the big blind and the two were heads-up for Dwan's tournament life.

Dwan: {a-}{j-}
Opponent: {K-}{j-}

Dwan was unable to improve when {9-} and {k-} came on the turn and river and has left the Pavilion.

Not So Lucky Liz Lieu

Liz Lieu is off to try her luck at another event. She was involved with the player on the button on a flop of {5-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Lieu bet from the big blind to 600, only to be met by a raise from the big blind to 2,500. Lieu, who had fewer chips than the re-raise amount, called and was all in.

Lieu: {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Opponent: {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The turn came down {2-Clubs} and the river was {3-Clubs}, leaving Lieu with the second best hand and plenty of time to grab some lunch.

Pelton Doubles Up

Joe Pelton, the winner of the 2006 WPT Legends of Poker just doubled up through an unknown opponent.

PokerNews caught up with the action on the turn with a board reading {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. When action was checked to Pelton, he bet 1,350. His oppoent then raised to 3,050 and Pelton three-bet, putting himself all in. His opponent called and the cards were turned face-up.

Pelton: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Perhaps not fully understanding the position he was in, Pelton's opponent asked the dealer for "a king or a jack." Either way, the {a-Hearts} on the river was enough for Pelton to double up through the hand.
