Heimiller on a Heater

Van Marcus was all in against Dan Heimiller on a {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop.

Heimiller: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for top two
Marcus: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for aces and the nut flush draw with a gutshot

The {3-Diamonds} turn gave Marcus the nuts. At least until the {10-Spades} on the river brought Heimiller tens full of jacks to best Van's flush. Marcus cashed in both of his remaining rebuy chips, while Heimiller's stack got even bigger. He has two rebuys left and is over 30,000 in chips.

Grinding It Up

Michael Mizrachi is off to the break with a nice stack and three add-on chips in tact after winning a nice pot after the chips went in on a flop of {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

Mizrachi opened {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a set as his opponent was drawing with {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{A-Hearts}. The turn was the {K-Spades} and river the {2-Hearts} to leave Mizrachi's set in front as he chips up to 29,700.

Jachtmann Action

PLO is said to be an action game. Well this hand is a good example as Jan Peter Jachtmann has just quadrupled up! Jachtmann kicked things off with a raise to 600 from under the gun before Bruno Fitoussi potted the action. Brian Rast made the call as did Eric Froehlich, as Jachtmann made it four ways to the flop of {Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

Action checked to Fitoussi who moved all in, with everyone calling!

Fitoussi: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{5-Hearts} (overpair + flush draw)
Rast: {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades} (top pair)
Froehlich: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} (bottom set)
Jachtmann: {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} (straight draw)

The tutn was the {10-Spades} but the river was the {6-Clubs} to give Jachtmann a straight to collect the main pot.

Froehlich was next best as he got paid off for his last 1,550, while Fitoussi's last 2,975 was paid by Rast who ended up with nothing.

Chip Counts

Fitoussi: 5,950 + 2 add-ons
Rast: 12,000 + 2 add-ons
Froehlich: 4,650 + 3 add-ons
Jachtmann: 33,000 + 3 add-ons

Late Registrations

The late registrations have arrived and taken their seats at the start of level three. There was one ridiculous table which unfortunately was broken pretty much straight away, but for a brief moment it featured Andy Bloch, Todd Brunson, John Hennigan, Chris Ferguson, Gary Benson and Huck Seed.

Another nearby table is also formidable but likely to break shortly. It currently holds Phil Ivey, Max Pescatori, Nick Schulman, Nam Le, Eli Elezra, Erik Cajelais, and a dead stack belonging to John Juanda.

Others to recently grace us with their presence include Frank Kassela, Greg Raymer, Erik Seidel, Erick Lindgren, Chau Giang, Jennifer Harman, Daniel Alaei, Jeff Lisandro, John Duthie and Vivek Rajkumar.

Italian Pirate Juggles Flush Draws and Spelling

Max Pescatori, Eli Elezra, and another player saw a {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop three ways. The first player checked, Pescatori potted, and both opponents called. The {5-Hearts} turn earned another check from the player first to act, and Pescatori moved all in for 3,500. "How do you spell chiropractor?" Phil Ivey asked the table while Elezra thought. "It's with a C," responded the Italian Pirate.

Once the proper spelling for Ivey's text message had been cleared up, Elezra made the call and the other player folded.

Pescatori: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Elezra: {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The river fell the {8-Hearts}, and Pescatori's heart flush took the pot. He's up to 15,000 and has all of his rebuy chips stored. Elezra has 15,000 too, but he's down to two rebuys.
