On a flop, the big blind checked to Nick Binger in middle position and he bet 4,000. Daniel Alaei was to Binger's immediate left and made the call before the big blind got out of the way.
The turn was the and this time Binger led for 10,000. Alaei called. The river was the . Binger took a look at Alaei's stack which currently stood at just under 20,000 and decided to move him all in. Alaei seemed frustrated, counted out his chips and threw in his cards.
We didn't catch all the action, but we did see Michael Greco get all of his chips in the pot on a flop. Greco held and double after the board ran out and . He is up to 40,000.
We caught the action in this hand on a flop of . Jason Mercier, who was in the small blind, appeared to have bet pot, which was 10,400. David Bach then raised to 40,000, pushing a player on the button off his hand. Mercier only had a single T100 chip behind and committed it to the pot.
Mercier:
Bach:
Bach was ahead with aces and kings, but Mercier had some outs to both a high and low. The turn was not one of them, and neither was the river. Mercier rapped the table, grabbed his bag, and exited the tournament area. Meanwhile, Bach is up to nearly 75,000 in chips.
From under the gun, Trai Dang raised to 2,100 and action folded around to Phil Laak on the button who raised the pot to 7,500. The blinds folded and Dang made the call.
The flop came down and Dang checked to Laak. He decided to bet pot which was worth 16,200. After a few moments, Dang released his hand and Laak scooped the pot to get up to 50,000.
We found Ashkan Razavi all in and at risk preflop for around 12,000 against David Funkhouser. Their hands were as follows.
Funkhouser:
Razavi:
The flop came down to give Funkhouser two pair and a low draw and had Razavi in awful shape. The on the turn gave Funkhouser a low and ensured that he would at least get some part of the pot. The on the river was of no help to Razavi who was eliminated as Funkhouser scooped the pot to grow his stack.
When we came to the table, Galen Hall and Lee Watkinson were heads up on a board that read . Hall had bet out 4,000, and Watkinson raised it up to 12,000. Hall gave it about a minute of thought before calling. The hit the river, completing a low draw, and Watkinson shoved all in, having Hall covered. Hall tanked for a couple of minutes before finally letting his hand go. Hall is down to 18,000 after that hand, while Watkinson is up to 55,000.
Action folded to David Williams in the cutoff and he put in a raise to 2,000, which Tobias Reinkemeier called from the button. Both blinds got out of the way and it was heads up to the flop. Williams checked, Reinkemeier bet 3,700, Williams check-raised all in for 16,100, and Reinkemeier made the call.
Reinkemeier:
Williams:
The turn left Williams in bad shape as Reinkemeier had hit two pair; not only that, the latter had a higher flush draw and a better low draw. The dealer burned and put out the . Williams realized Reinkemeier hit his low and had an ace-high flush, so he stood to make his exit.
"Straight flush," Mike Matusow proclaimed. Sure enough, Williams had hit a straight flush to lay claim to the high hand and half the pot. In the end it was a chop, but it was a fairly exciting one at that.
Huck Seed raised to 2,000 in middle position and was three-bet by Patrick Goulding to 7,000 on the button. Seed made the call and then checked on the flop. Goulding went all in and Seed called leaving himself not much behind if he lost as the players showed their hands.
Seed:
Goulding:
Seed’s pair of fives were in the lead for the time being with both players having low draws. The on the turn made Goulding the nut low and Seed said, “Uh-oh”. However the river was the to counterfeit Goulding’s nut low and give Seed a better low which his fives held for the high half to scoop the pot and eliminate Goulding.
Eli Elezra and Igor Sharaskin both limped from middle position before Andreas Krause raised to 4,400. Juan Caridad called from the small blind and Elezra called all in for exactly 4,400. Sharaskin reraised the pot which forced Krause to put in his final couple thousand chips and Caridad to fold at which point the hands were turned face up.
Elezra:
Sharaskin:
Krause:
The board ran out and all three players had the nut low. It was Krause, however, that had a straight to the six and was able to scoop the high and force the other two players to take just one-sixth of the pot each.
