Maria Ho has been very busy in the opening levels today. We just caught her open to 3,500 and Timothy Stoeckiln called from the small blind. The flop came , Stoecklin bet 4,500 and Ho raised to 10,400. Stoecklin to just a few moments to fold his cards.
We don't know exactly how the action went preflop, but what we do know is Maria Ho had her shorter stacked opponent all in and at risk. Luckily for Ho her was ahead against her opponent's , but anything can happen.
A flop was laid out and Ho furthered her advantage, she could even secure the win with any heart falling on the turn or the river. A on the turn and a on the river insured the win for Ho, and she was shipped a sizable pot. Now crossing the 100,000 mark Ho is a threat to be reckoned with in today's field.
We recently found Joe Tehan turning over almost all of his chips on a board. We do not know what Tehan held, but we know it was a loser. Tehan's opponent had and was able to take in a sizable pot of over 50,000 with the win.
Tehan now sits with about 9,000 and is going to need some major help if he wants to get back within contention.
WSOPC beast Huy Nguyen has not wasted any time today. He's significantly chipped up in opening action. We caught Nguyen when he opened to 2,500, Jerry Wong raised to 5,200 from the cutoff and Keith Uchima moved all in for about 24,000 more. Nguyen called and Wong folded.

The board ran and Nguyen picked up the remnants of Uchima's stack.
The very next hand we saw Nguyen open in early position again for 2,500. Brandon Smotherman raised to 6,400 from the cutoff and Nguyen called. The flop came , Nguyen checked, Smotherman bet 8,500 and Nguyen shipped all in. Smotherman tank-folded after a long pause.
Joseph Cappello started the day third in chips, but he has been taking pot after pot early on here on day 2 to project him into the number one on the counts. Sitting with a massive stack its a wonder how Cappello manages to even get a glimpse of his cards with his mountain of chips in the way.
We recently saw him face a minor set back, when he raised preflop and a player in late position moved all in for 7,800. Cappello quickly made the call and both player flipped over their cards.

The dealer was then prompted to show a flop and it came out like this, . Both players managed to snag top pair kings, but Cappello's was only second best as his kicker wasn't up to snuff. A on the turn changed nothing, just give Cappello a stronger losing hand. The on the river sealed the deal and Cappello sent some chips over to his neighbor.
