Now that we are just four players away from the money, hand-for-hand play has begun. Stay tuned as we crown our eventual bubble boy (or girl).

Well, that was fast.
On the very first deal of hand-for-hand play, we have reached the money. We were unfortunately unable to catch the exact last bustout due to the sheer number of tables and players remaining.

We recently watched Mike Matusow play a hand that wasn't to eventful. Matusow opened the pot when folded to him in the cutoff and the player in the big blind defended. The two players then checked down a board and Matusow took down the pot when he turned over for ace-high.
Like we said, not too eventful, but luckily Matusow is an entertainer. Sitting behind Matusow is Scott Seiver and the two have been niggling at eachother in good fun throughout the day. At one point earlier, the dealer said, "i think people would just pay Scott to get under your skin all day." At this point Matusow got to his feet and put his arm around Scott and told the table that Scott could never really get under his skin.
At this point in the tournament both of these players have made the cash and survive with healthy stacks.

Brian Rast just scooped in a huge pot and is now among the chip leaders.
We caught up with the action on a flop, where Rast's lone opponent check-called a 3,700 bet from Rast.
When a came on the turn, Rast's opponent would again check-call - this time for 8,000.
A landed the river and Rast's opponent checked a final time. Rast mulled it over and went all in for over 30,000 - sending his opponent into the tank. He eventually called and Rast flipped over for a full-house. His opponent couldn't best it and mucked without showing.
Rast is up to 95,000.

Last year, Brian Rast won two World Series of Poker gold bracelets. He's charging up the counts here in Event 9 and now has 134,000 in chips thanks to a recent pot where he flopped a set of deuces against Christopher Bolek.
We picked up the action on the board as Rast checked to Bolek. Bolek fired 4,200 and Rast put in a check-raise to 15,200. After a minute in the tank, Bolek called.
The river completed the board with the and brought in a backdoor flush draw. Rast led for 16,500. Bolek made the call and Rast tabled the for a set of twos. Bolek mucked and Rast won the pot.
Last year, Rast first one Event 15: $1,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em for nearly $230,000. He then won the prestigious Event 55: $50,000 Poker Player's Championship for over $1.7 million after defeating Phil Hellmuth heads up. Needless to say, Rast has got some game and he's showing it here on Day 2 as he builds up a mountain of chips.
Also of note is that Rast is doing his moving on Day 2 with both Jonathan Duhamel and Jason Mercier at his table. Mercier has direct position on Rast and the table is one of the tougher ones in the room.

We caught up with the action just as the dealer was scooping all of the cards in. It appeared that Isaac "Ike" Haxton found himself all in for his remaining chips with against a lone opponent's .
The board ran out dry for Haxton and he was sent to the rail.

John Juanda is continuing his rise to the top of the counts that started during yesterday's Day 1 flight. We recently caught Juanda picking up another pot when he and an opponent checked it down on the river of a board showing . There was well over 20,000 already in the pot at this point and when Juanda turned over , it was enough to see his opponent's cards hit the muck.
"Would you have folded if i bet?" the player asked.
"The river was a good card for me," replied Juanda, stacking his new chips.
