Crucial King For Rettenmaiaer

Marvin Rettenmaier just won back-to-back hands in order to give him another shot at making the final table. On the first hand Mike Watson raised under the gun to 35,000. Rettenmaier was in the small blind, and he called with little chips behind. Scott Seiver gave up his big blind.

The flop came down {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and Rettenmaiaer moved all in almost instantly. Watson was facing a 113,000-chip bet, but after about a minute he decided to fold.

On the very next hand Rettenmaier moved all in from the button. Philipp Gruissem called quickly from the big blind.

Showdown:
Marvin Rettenmaier: {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Philipp Gruissem: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, and Rettenmaier doubled up.

Negreanu Eliminated

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu and John Juanda got all the money in on the {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} flop with around 230,000 chips already in the middle. The pot was a massive one as Negreanu was all in on the flop for a little over 800,000 in chips. Juanda had him covered. Preflop, Juanda opened, Negreanu three-bet, and Juanda called.

Juanda held the {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a flopped set of fours. Negreanu held the {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} for an overpair of kings.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and river the {5-Hearts} to give Juanda the huge pot and send Negreanu to the rail. Juanda moved to over two million in chips.

Showdown:
David Benefield: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Fung Cheung: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
