Willcocks Washed Away

Phillip Willcocks is the latest player to hit the rail and we caught the action from the flop on the hand of his demise.

The flop showed {2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and the play was checked to Willcocks who threw out 5,000. His opponent made the call and the {j-Spades} hit the turn. Again the play was checked to Willcocks and this time he bet 10,000. At this point Willcocks' opponent shoved all in and Willcocks made the call.

Willcocks turned over {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, while his opponent held {q-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. Willcocks was in front but when the {10-Spades}, his opponent hit the straight and sent Willcocks packing.

Barbero Way Up

Nacho Barbero
Nacho Barbero

Team PokerStars Pro Nacho Barbero is up to about 375,000 in chips and crushing, thanks in part to some recent pots. Here's two that we gathered.

On the first hand, Barbero told us that he saw a flop four ways with {A-}{5-}. It came down {9-}{5-}{5-} with two diamonds and two players had put 50,000 chips in in front of him, with the first of those being all in. Barbero raised all in for 120,000 of his own and the second player, the caller, called the extra 70,000. The first player had a king-high flush draw while the second had {5-}{3-}. Barbero's hand held and he boomed up the ladder.

Shortly after that, Barbero won some more chips from the player to his right. That player raised to 4,500 from the hijack seat, Barbero called from the cutoff and the big blind also called. The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and action was checked by the big blind. The hijack seat bet 6,000 and Barbero called. The big bind folded.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} to pair the board and both players checked. The river was the {9-Spades} and the hijack seat checked. Barbero bet 15,500 and his opponent called. Barbero tabled the {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a straight and won the pot.

Team Pro Down And Out

One of the PokerStars Team Pros has just hit the rail, this time it was Russia's Alex Kravchenko who couldn't survive the day.

Kravchenko was extremely short stacked in a previous hand after running into the straight of an opponent and shoved a few hands later holding {a-}{2-} and got the call from the big blind player who held {j-}{4-}. Kravchenko was looking good to take a much needed double-up but the {10-}{4-}{4-} flop hit the felt and Kravchenko was sent to the rail.

Dodds Doing It

Joel Dodds has just made a huge double-up and while we missed the action, a player at the table was happy to relay the information to us.

Apparently a player opened to 5,500 from under the gun before receiving one caller. This was when the action was on Dodds and he shoved for around 55,000. The play was back on the original opener and he made the call while the other player got out of the way.

Dodds turned over {a-Spades}{k-Spades}, while his opponent held {k-}{k-}.

The board ran out with an {a-} on the flop and Dodds took down the big hand to now sit with a heallthy stack.

Frankie Fried

Frank Bianco has been seen making his way out of the tournament area with a corona in hand and we have all the action from his bust out hand.

The action started when David Steicke limped from under the gun. Two other players limped behind and both blinds came along for the ride, including Bianco who completed from the small blind.

Flop: {2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Bianco and the big blind checked, whereby Steicke led for 5,500. The other two players got out of the way before it was back on Bianco who shoved all in for around 25,000. The big blind player quickly made the call before Steicke went into the tank. Eventually Steicke let it go and the two players turned their hands over.

Bianco's {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} would be in trouble against the {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} of his opponent and it would all be over when the board ran out blanks.
