Day 1b Started
Day 1b of the 2013 PokerStars.com EPT London Main Event is set to begin in an hour, and we are expecting to smash yesterday's number of 236 entrants. The Vic will be as crowded as ever, as hundreds of professionals and amateurs alike cram inside for their chance to capture EPT glory, and a boatload of cash.
There will be a plethora of Team PokerStars Pros in the field today, including Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, Chris Moneymaker, Victor Ramdin, Jake Cody, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, and many more. Negreanu, Grospellier, and PokerStars Team Online member Isaac Haxton will be floating high fresh off of their sweep of Full Tilt Poker's "The Professionals," although we believe that all three (Gus Hansen, Viktor Blom, and Tom Dwan) will be participating in today's festivities as well. Maybe they can extract some revenge.
Other notables that will be venturing to The Vic today include Dan Shak, who currently leads the 2013 Global Poker Index Player of the Year race, Paul Volpe, who just made back-to-back WPT final tables, and Mohsin Charania, who won the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final in Season 8.
We're excited for some great action today, and we hope that you stay tuned to PokerNews' exclusive, up-to-the-minute coverage of the EPT London Main Event!

Teddy Sheringham is back on the EPT for the first time in a while. The ex England international footballer is a very handy poker player too but the last 12 months of his life has been dominated by his 14-month old son George. He has another on the way in May so we shall enjoy his presence while he's here.
Sheringham made a great living taking on tough players and he finds himself at a table today with great players such as Ben Jenkins, Gordon Huntly and Matt Perrins.
Jenkins came 13th in this tournament last year and Huntly has had good success so far in 2013. He came 7th in the UKIPT high roller last night and came 18th at EPT Deauville last month. Matt Perrins won a bracelet in 2011.
