The tournament staff just announced that the plan for the day is to play through Level 25, which would put the stop time at approximately 11:40 PM. If by chance we reach the final table before then, we'd stop at that point; however, that seems unlikely.
A field of 480 came to play in the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event here at Harrah's Tunica. After 16 Levels on Day 1, only 111 remain with their eyes set on $148,612 first-place prize, as well as a seat in the WSOP-C National Championship, a $1 million freeroll bracelet event that will take place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from May 27 to 29, 2011, and will be televised nationally on the Versus network.
Leading the way into Day 2 is Dale Slatton with 246,400. On his heels are Tommy Vedes with 246,400 and Rusty Boyker with 244,400. We are expecting to reach the final table of nine before the end of the day, so keep it here at PokerNews for all of the exciting action.
Play starts at the top of the hour, noon local time, so we'll see you then!
