Day 2 Set To Begin At Rincon

After two grueling flights yesterday, we have narrowed a total field of 321 down to just 156 competitors. It is worth noting though that entry is still available so long as you have not used two bullets already. Sure enough, the tournament board hanging up in all corners of the room currently counts 327 players so we will see at least six faces we didn't expect to find in today's field. Before you count these players out, don't forget that Freddy Deeb entered on Day 2 of the event in L.A. and went on to win the whole thing.

Speaking of Deeb, he is only one of the players headlining today's impressive field. He will be joined by Joe Tehan, Gavin Smith, Eric Baldwin, Scott Clements, David "ODB" Baker, Gavin Griffin, Bryan Devonshire, Joe Kuether, Matthew Chang, and Allen Carter.

The man they are all chasing though is Luke Nettles who was able to finish with 197,000 chips. It looked as though he was going to have a commanding lead after the Day 1a flight when no other player had over 110,000 in chips. However, Day 1b found some notable competitors is Raymond Dandrea (169,500), Brandon Cantu (156,300) and Tu Huynh (126,300) who will be sure to push Nettles all day long.

Play is set to begin here in about half an hour and will continue all day and into the night. We are scheduled to play another 14 levels so make sure to stick with us as we cover all the action as the players fight for position and a spot in the money, here on "moving day".
