McNeil Doubles Up

After playing hand after hand of small ball where they did nothing more than trade blinds and antes, Michael McNeil started switching up his game, blind raising to 16,000 every time he has the button.

When Arkadiy Tsinis reraised all in the last time McNeil made the play, McNeil made the call.

McNeil: {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Tsinis: {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

When the board ran {2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, McNeil's ace was good and he doubled up to 326,000 while Tsinis fell back to 124,000.

Yawn

There is a noticeable lull in the action right now, as it's clear none of the six remaining players wants to miss out on the final table. For the most part, the three pairs of players are trading blinds back and forth with very few flops even being seen.

Jonathan Jaffe Gets Busted

Jonathan Jaffe and Michael McNeil got the money in before the flop with Jaffe holding {A-Hearts}{9-Spades} and McNeil holding {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

The flop of {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} put McNeil in front and Jaffe needed to find an ace or running 9s to catch up. He got part of the way there with the {9-Clubs} on the turn, but fell short when the {3-Clubs} hit the river.

Kyle Brossia Falls

Christopher Moore - Advances
Christopher Moore - Advances
Kyle Brossia was all in with his short stack holding {K-Diamonds} {8-Spades}. He was thrilled when Christopher Moore looked him up and tabled {K-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}.

The board paired both players' kickers as it came {7-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}, keeping Brossia in good shape. Disaster would come on the turn though; the {7-Hearts} slammed the felt, improving Moore to trip sevens and leaving Brossia with one foot out the door. The {5-Clubs} completed the board, and Kyle Brossia has been knocked off.

Christopher Moore becomes the seventh player to have his ticket punched for tomorrow's final table.

Katchalov Catches Up

Eugene Katchalov pushed in preflop with {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and got called by Marco Liesy with {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}.

When the flop came {3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Spades}, Katchalov took the lead and Liesy couldn't catch up with either the {5-Hearts} on the turn or {K-Hearts} on the river.

After the hand, Liesy had 223,000 while Katchalov had 227,000.
