Top Five Chip Counts

Hasan Habib - 460,000
David Bach - 410,000
Matt Glantz - 410,000
Erik Sagstrom - 400,000
Frank Kassela - 380,000

Interestingly we were just informed of a side bet involving one of our chip leaders, Matt Glantz.

Jon Turner and Huck Seed have both bet Glantz $5,000 that he'll take his 410,000-chip stack and turn it into a cash result in this event. Glantz has accepted the bet, to effectively pick up $10,000 if he doesn't cash!

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated

Daniel Negreanu
Hold'em

Daniel Negreanu raised from the button, Mikail Tulchinskiy three-bet from the small blind and Negreanu called. The flop came down {6-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}. Tulchinskiy bet, Negreanu raised, Tulchinskiy made it three bets and Negreanu called. The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and Tulchinskiy checked to Negreanu who bet the rest of his chips. He made the call.

Tulchinskiy turned over {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}, Negreanu's {A-Spades} {6-Diamonds} in dire shape. The river was the {4-Hearts} and Negreanu's tournament was at an end.

Stud-8

Hennigan: (X-X) {5-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} (X)
Lisandro: (X-X) {8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts} (X)
Kassela: (X-X) {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} (X)

We caught the action on fifth street with Jeff Lisandro firing bets against John Hennigan and Frank Kassela. Lisandro was all in by sixth street with his opponents calling and then checking down the river.

Kassela showed down ({A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-?}) for two pair which Lisandro couldn't better as the triple-bracelet winner experienced the rare feeling of walking from the Amazon Room empty-handed. Kassela raked in the chips to move up to 425,000.

Omaha-8

Jason Gray raised preflop, Andy Bloch reraised and Gray made the call. The flop came down {A-Spades} {K-Spades} {9-Hearts}. Gray bet, Bloch raised all in and Gray called.

Bloch {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {3-Clubs}
Gray {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}

Bloch flopped top two pair while Gray hit top and bottom pair. The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, safe for Bloch, but the {9-Clubs} spiked on the river to make Gray nines full and eliminate Bloch from the tournament.

Chad Brown was all in on third street for his last chips against Abe Mosseri in a hand of Stud-8. The boards ran out:

Mosseri made two pair, eights and fives and the only low hand to scoop and send Brown down town.
