PoerStars Team Pro Canada representative Daniel Negreanu is still holding on in the tournament. In a recent hand he put out an 800 bet on seventh street. His opponent in Seat 8 looked as though he wanted to call but eventually mucked his cards.
"Show him three pair Daniel," joked a tablemate. Negreanu simply slid his cards into the muck and increased his stack to around 6,500.
Hakim Not So Keen

We caught up with Jeffrey Hakim betting out on fifth street. Yevgeniy Timoshenko thought about it for a little while before making the call.
Timoshenko was first to act on sixth street and he checked before calling another bet from Hakim. He checked again on seventh street - but this time when Hakim bet, Timoshenko raised. Hakim checked his down cards, and then folded, shipping the pot to Timoshenko who immediately returned to what looked like a very involved strategy discussion with table neighbour Jimmy Fricke.

Ivey Eliminated and Didn't Even Play a Hand
Phil Ivey, who is still alive at the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. final table, registered for this event and his stack was being anted away for the past few hours. Ivey was left with a single light green chip worth 25 which was used as his ante 33 minutes into Level 6. That is how long he managed to last without playing a single hand.
Likewise, Phil Hellmuth, who arrived late to find a stack of only 375, has been eliminated from the tournament.
Zolotow vs. Micon vs. Mercier

Steve Zolotow was all in early against Jason Mercier and Bryan Micon. A side pot developed and during the hand Zolotow pointed at Phil Ivey's empty seat, which had only one single 25 chip remaining, and said, "He's got a good chance to outlast me."
That didn't turn out to be the case as Zolotow tripled to 7,500 with a 7-5-6-4-3 low, barely edging out Micon's 8-5-3-2-A low.
Oy Vey for Doft

An enormous pot had formed by the time we arrived on seventh street. Mickey Doft's opponent had bet, and Doft was moving his down cards around as though they might suddenly turn into different, better cards if he shuffled them around enough. Eventually, with a look of deep regret on his face, he folded, leaving himself with 5,500.

We found Barry Greenstein writing in a book - this could mean only one thing.

Greenstein thus busted out of the tournament. His former seat has now been occupied by Tommy Vedes.
Hellmuth Arrives
Phil Hellmuth finally arrived to his seat, only to find 375 remaining after being dwindled by the antes.
"You've only had the high card one time in an hour and a half," David Grey explain.
"One time," Miami John Cernuto repeated in disbelief. Hellmuth managed to double up his very first hand, but he'll still have his work cut out for himself.
Mizrachi Doubles Through Harman

Michael Mizrachi, down to just shrapnel, got the last of his stack in on third street against Jennifer Harman.
By the end, Mizrachi had made a nine low and Harman had made a great hand for a completely different game - aces full of kings.
Mizrachi doubled up to just 2,000. Harman meanwhile was in absolutely no trouble - at 38,000, she still seems to be among the chip leaders.

With about 6,500 in the pot on sixth street, Mickey Doft looked at his last card and bet 800. Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi looked frustrated as he glanced at Doft's cards, then back at his own. After a few moments, Mizrachi let out a sigh and folded, showing a 10-6-5-2-A low.
Doft was able to get the $50,000 Players Champions off his hand increased his stack to about 11,000 after the hand
