Devo Does It

Limit Hold'em

Bryan Devonshire raised it up from middle position and was quickly three-bet by the opponent on his direct left. The rest of the table folded and Devonshire made the call.

The board came {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{A-Spades} and Devonshire opted to check, while his opponent fired out. Devo made the call and the {j-Clubs} appeared on the turn. It was here that Devonshire checked again, and his opponent bet out. Instead of simply calling this time Devonshire raised. A call was made and it was off to the river.

The {7-Clubs} on the river saw Devonshire bet out and his opponent begrudgingly call.

Devonshire flipped over {A-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for top two-pair, and his opponent showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for a single pair of aces.

Froehlich Scoops One with Royal Flush

Limit Hold'em

We caught up with the action on a {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{A-Spades} flop. Eric Froehlich bet from middle position and was raised by David Williams in the cutoff. Froehlich tossed in a call and announced that he was checking dark on the turn, which brought the {J-Hearts}. Williams checked behind.

Froelich bet out on the {K-Spades} river and Williams called. Froelich tabled {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} for the royal flush and scooped the pot.

Both players still have healthy stacks. Forehlich has 21,000 while Williams is sitting with 22,000.

Full of It

Limit Hold'em

Action folded around to Isaac Haxton who raised it up from late position. The button three-bet and the table folded back to Haxton who made the call.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and lead to a Haxton check, and a button bet. Haxton made the call and both players saw the {k-Spades} on the turn. This time around Haxton bet out and was called.

The {4-Hearts} on the river came with a bet from Haxton, a raise from the button, and finished with a three-bet from Haxton. The button called and Haxton flipped over {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a full house, tens over fours.

Smith Bests Chen

Bill Chen opened to 425 from under-the-gun and action folded all the way around to Gavin Smith in the big blind.

"Please give me seven-four of clubs," Smith said.

"Why, so you can raise?" Chen replied.

Smith took a peak at his cards and called.

"I do not have seven-four," Smith laughed.

The flop came {K-Spades}{A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Smith checked. Chin rapped the table with his fist for a check behind.

Both players checked the {6-Diamonds} turn also, however, when the {6-Spades} completed the board, Smith fired out 475.

"I call," Chen announced.

Smith flipped up {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for kings and sixes, which was good and Smith scooped the pot.

Smith is sitting on about 10,000 while Chen is still one of the big stacks in the room with 20,000.

Bellande Doubles

John-Robert Bellande
John-Robert Bellande

Limit Hold'em

We don't know exactly how the action went, but we know after a series of back and forth raises Jean-Robert Bellande was all in and at risk preflop.

Bellande: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The board came {3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Bellande doubled up. Bellande is still very low and is going to need to turn it around if he wants to make a deep run in this event.

Greenstein Fires Away

Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

Limit Hold'em

Action folded over to Barry Greenstein, who opened from the button and found one caller from his opponent in the big blind.

Greenstein's opponent proceeded to check-call a bet from Greenstein on every street. Greenstein had flopped an open-ended straight draw on the {J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop and caught his straight on the river when the {4-Diamonds} fell. (Greenstein held the {6-Clubs}{8-Spades}).

Greenstein has chipped up nicely this past level and is sitting on about 12,000 currently.
