Mercier Five-Bet Shoves on Lindgren

From middle position, Erick Lindgren raised to 1,300. Action folded to Jason Mercier on the button and he three-bet to 3,425. Play moved through the blinds and back to Lindgren. He reraised to 8,500 with just over 25,000 behind. Mercier took about half a minute and then moved all in, having Lindgren covered thanks to his recent double up with pocket kings. Lindgren gave it up and Mercier won the pot.

Bardah's Nines Go Down

From middle position, Andrew Brokos raised to 1,300. This was the hand immediately following the one where Ronnie Bardah shoved the river on him. Bardah flat-called the raise in position in the hijack seat and this looked like it was going to be another Brokos-Bardah battle. That was until it folded to the player in the small blind.

He had other intentions and raised to 4,375. The big blind and Brokos got out of the way before Bardah tanked. Eventually, he back-raised all in and the small blind quickly called off for 22,725 total. Bardah tabled the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, but was behind the {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} for his opponent.

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Bardah lost the pot. He sent over the chips to see his stack take a pretty big hit.

Barry Busts One

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

First in from the cutoff, Barry Greenstein made it 1,600 to go, and only the player on the button came along to the flop.

The dealer spread out {10-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds}, and Greenstein continued out for 2,200. His opponent considered for about a minute before flicking the call into the pot, and both men checked through the {8-Clubs} turn quickly. That led them to the {J-Hearts} river, and Greenstein made a final bet of 5,000. After some deliberation, his opponent moved all in for what looked like 17,400, and Greenstein made the eventual call.

Showdown
Greenstein: {10-Clubs} {9-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs}

The ace-queen isn't going to get it done, and Greenstein's full house has earned him the pot and the knockout. Mark him down for about 51,000 now.

We attribute Greenstein's run-good to his appearance on the latest edition of the PokerNews Podcast. Check it out here!

Mercier Doubles

Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Jason Mercier just doubled with the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} versus an opponent's {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Mercier was in the big blind and his opponent in the small blind when the two got involved in a preflop raisiing war that saw all of the money go into the middle. The board ran out {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts} to give Mercier the double.

Bardah Shoves on Brokos

Ronnie Bardah and Andrew Brokos checked the {K-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} board before the dealer placed the {K-Spades} out on the river. Brokos studied and then bet 6,500. Bardah took a minute or two and then moved all in for about 35,000 or so. Brokos thought for a tiny bit and then gave it up, allowing Bardah to pick up the pot.

Mortensen On Top

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Carlos Mortensen won a pot on the last hand of Level 6 and is now sitting with a stack of about 122,000.

On an {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} board, Mortensen's bet of 3,500 was called by an opponent. The {8-Spades} hit the river and Motensen checked. His opponent bet 3,200, but Mortensen put in a raise to 10,000. His opponent called and couldn't beat the {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} that Mortensen tabled.
