Started in 2007, the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour is a series of live poker tournaments taking place in China, South Korea, Australia, Philippines and New Zealand. The APPT is a counterpart of the other major PokerStars sponsored poker tours - EPT, NAPT and LAPT.
During its first three seasons the APPT hosted 14 poker tournaments in 6 different locations. The APPT was the first to bring government-sanctioned real-money Texas hold'em poker tournaments to Korea and China. It's also filmed for television and produced by 441 Productions.
