How to Join the partypoker UK Team Challenge
Getting involved in the partypoker UK Team Challenge is both easy and fun. First you need to gather a team of two to four players. If you can't find enough poker friends to fill out your team, partypoker recommends that you head to the partypoker UK Community Forum on Facebook to find players eagerly awaiting to join your team or you may find a team that needs another player. Once you have your team registered, play in as many of the $5.50 Daily Major: $1,000 Gtd. DTD Micro and the $27.50 Daily Major: $5,000 Gtd. DTD Mini that you can on partypoker from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30. The tournaments take place every night at 20:00 BST, and not only can you earn prize money for yourself, but also earn coveted chips for your team for the Live Final at the Dawn Till Dusk in Nottingham on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18.
Your team will need to earn at least 250,000 chips in August and in September in order to qualify for the Live Final where the guaranteed prize pool will be at least £30,000. The guaranteed prize pool will grow based off how many teams enter with a maximum of a £100,000 prize pool if at least 1,000 teams compete in the competition.
The chips you earn will be split evenly among your team if you qualify for the Live Final. To make things more interesting, 80% of the prize pool in the Live Final will be awarded to the best performing teams while 20% will be awarded to the best performing individuals.
How to Earn Even More Chips and Awards
The more chips you have when heading into the finals - the better your chances will be to come out with as much as the free loot in your pockets. In addition to accumulating chips in the two daily DTD Major tournaments, you can earn even more chips for your team by completing one or more of the four daily missions creating for this awesome promotion. Each mission is worth 5,000 chips, so if you complete all four, you will add 20,000 chips to your team. If you have a team with four members, and everyone is encouraged to complete the missions, you can grab 80,000 extra chips for your team!
While it is true this is mostly a team competition, you can also think about yourself as well thanks to the Star Player Leaderboard. Here, you will have a chance to grab for yourself a seat to a WPT event valued at $3,500 if you earn more Live Final chips than anyone else registered in the competition.
Also, if you just miss out and finish in second to tenth places, you will be awarded a $120 buy-in to the next Grand Prix Million!
