Hands #14-15: Vogelsang Doubles Through Colman

Level 21 : 300,000/600,000, 75,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Hand #14: Christoph Vogelsang raised to 1.2 million from the cutoff and Daniel Negreanu called from the big blind. The flop came down {5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Negreanu led out for one million. Vogelsang let it go and Negreanu took down the pot.

Hand #15: Vogelsang moved all in from the hijack for his last eight million and Daniel Colman called from the next seat over. The rest of the table folded and the hands were turned on their backs.

Vogelsang: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Colman: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} giving Colman an open-ended straight draw, prompting a chorus of "ooh's" from the rail. The {J-Spades} paired the board on the turn and the two were left with the sweat going to the river.

The dealer produced the {5-Hearts} on the river, allowing Vogelsang's ace-queen to hold as the best hand.
