WPTDS Marrakech Kicks Off Sept. 22

From from Sept 22 through Sept. 30, the WPTDeepstacks tour heads to Es Saadi Marrakech Resort, which will serve as an official partner of the World Poker Tour for the fifth consecutive year. If you've never been, the Casino of Marrakech Es Saadi is a locale full of history and luxury, and the WPTDS has the prestige of being the first and only organized poker series on the continent of Africa.

WPTDS Marrakech Festival Details

The WPTDeepStacks Marrakech festival features 19 tournaments across nine days, with buy-ins ranging from €125 to €2,700 for the Super High Roller on Sunday, Sept. 30. The highlight of the series will of course be the WPTDeepStacks Marrakech Main Event which takes place September 27-30, with a buy-in of 13,200 MAD (approx. €1,200).

The Main Event will offer two starting flights and see players start out with 30,000 chips. Re-entry will be available through Level 9 and Days 2 and 3 will play out on Sept. 29 and 30.

Also on the schedule are a variety of events including a €125 Freezeout Bounty, a €180 Progressive Bounty, and even an Open Face Chinese Poker event for a buy-in of €135. That one will take place on Sunday, Sept. 30. In addition, there is a good mix of turbos and deepstacks, as well as re-entry and freezeout structures.

Satellite Offerings

For those who prefer to get into events at a cheaper rate, there are seven satellites on the schedule with price tags from €55 to €180, including three that will award seats into the Main Event and three for the High Roller.
