Four Players Claim Main Event Titles in Global Poker Summer Series

The juicy Global Poker Summer Series IV, which began June 26, concluded on July 9 with 56 total winners, including four separate Main Event champions.

The action took place on Global Poker for both Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC) players — 28 events each. A total of more than GC 630,000,000 and SC 1,260,000 were awarded throughout the series.

Main Event Champs and Top Performers

During the Summer Series, Global Poker tracked the performances of everyone who entered the tournaments. Each winner received a trophy and dozens of players took home Global Poker swag and all sorts of other prizes. At the end of the series, two online poker players were crowned champion of the entire series.

With 904.83 points, "flush634" stood atop the Sweeps Coins leaderboard, narrowly defeating "petrenjello," who finished with 902.4 points. Everyone else was quite far off the top two performers' pace. Over on the Gold Coins side, it was "Skrublove" leading the way with 2,373.39 points, a much more comfortable margin of victory than on the SC side of things, as this player was a good 386 points ahead of the nearest competitor, "Tigklefist."

There were four separate Main Events, which made the series even more interesting. "Mbadatpoker" is clearly not as bad at poker as the screen name indicates after taking down the GC 50,000,000 guaranteed Progressive Bounty Super Deep Main Event. In the GC 50,000,000 guaranteed Super Deep Main Event (non-progressive bounty), "j_smith1830" came out victorious.

The SC 100,000 guaranteed Progressive Bounty Super Deep Main Event went to "GimmeALook," while props are in order for "broclifarmer," champion of the other SC 100,000 guaranteed Main Event.
