He did it! Poker Hall of Famer and longtime World Poker Tour commentator Mike Sexton won his first WPT title this week, topping a 648-player field to win the WPT Montreal Main Event at the Playground Poker Club.

Many in the poker world were glad to see Sexton's triumph, punctuated by a lengthy heads-up battle with eventual runner-up Benny Chen that saw Sexton at a 10-to-1 chip deficit at one point. His unofficial title as "The Ambassador of Poker" has been well earned over the years, giving many cause to root for him this week.

The WPT debuted on television in the spring of 2003, but it wasn't until the sixth season of the tour that Sexton was allowed to step from behind the desk and leave his co-host Vince Van Patten to play in events. Now, amid the WPT's 15th season, Sexton has himself won one of the trophies he has awarded to so many others over the years.

In other words, after championing poker and the WPT for a decade-and-a-half, Sexton is himself a WPT champion!

Today's installment of "The Weekly PokerNews Quiz" commemorates Sexton's WPT victory with eight questions about Sexton and the tour.
