Mauri Dorbek Tripled and Eliminated

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Mauri Dorbek
Mauri Dorbek

Mauri Dorbek began today as the chip leader, however, his stack dwindled before the first break and he is now eliminated from the tournament in 17th place.

Seppo Lehtonen opened up with a limp for 5,000. Mauri Dorbek without looking at his cards declared he was all-in from the small blind. Rauno Tahvonen raised to 17,500 from the big blind and Lehtonen got out of the way.

Dorbek: {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Tahvonen: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

Dorbek didn't appear happy until the flop came {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} giving him eight out to a straight. The {2-Hearts} on the turn was of no help, however, the {3-Diamonds} on the river gave him the straight temporarily tripling his stack to 24,500.

On the next hand, Dorbek was all-in {a-}{7-} and was unable to catch up against Viacheslav Novoselov who was holding {a-}{q-}
