Martin Rowe and Jason Gray Pass Chips Back and Forth

Jason Gray took 250,000 chips off Jason Gray in one hand, then shipped back 500,000 the next. Each player put in 55,000 chips preflop in the first hand, with Rowe leading out on the {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {10-Spades} flop for 60,000. Gray called that bet, then called again when Rowe bet 150,000 on the {Q-Clubs} turn. Each player checked down the {8-Hearts} river, with Rowe turning over {K-Clubs} {8-Clubs} for a rivered pair of eights. It was no good; Gray showed {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} for a pair of tens.

The next hand, the two tangled again, getting all in preflop after a series of raises. Rowe showed pocket queens but was behind Gray's pocket kings. A queen on the flop turned the tables, ultimately allowing Rowe to double up. He's now on 1.1 million, while Gray has a shade less at about 1 million.

High Rollers Update: Pantling Leads

27 players remain in the field after Bill Jordanou was latest to hit the rail after his pocket jacks ran into pocket queens. Andrew Scott was also a recent elimination after tangling with John Juanda. Andrew Pantling is still the chip leader with about 75,000 chips.

Random Chip Count Update:

Peter Eastgate: 15,000
John Juanda: 44,000
Jeff Lisandro: 33,000
David Steicke: 33,000
Grant Levy: 26,000
Chad Brown: 16,000

Fazzolari Eyes Off The Two Million Club

Our two chip leaders, Tom Rafferty and Antonio Fazzolari have clashed in a big pot, that has left Fazzolari as a clear chip leader.

Rafferty opened to 48,000 from the cutoff and Fazzolari called on the button. The flop was {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Rafferty fired out 70,000. Fazzolari made the call.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Rafferty fired again, this time for 160,000. However Fazzolari announced a raise, making it 360,000 to play. Rafferty thought the better of it and released his hand to stay in the game with 973,000 as Fazzolari is out to a whopping 1.95 million chips.

Lisa Delellis Eliminated in 11th Place (AU$28,000)

Lisa Delellis - 11th place
Lisa Delellis - 11th place
Lisa Delellis has put on an excellent display of short stack prowess today, but she has finally been relieved of all of her chips. She moved all in for roughly 200,000 chips over the top of an open-raise from Hai Bo Chu of 53,000. Chu made the call and tabled {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}; Delellis showed {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}. Neither player caught a piece of the flop, which came down {2-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {7-Hearts}. Thus when Chu made a pair of aces with the {A-Spades} turn, Delellis was drawing dead.

She earned AU$28,000 for finishing in 11th place.

Bubble Time

We're on the final table bubble. Five players remain on each of the last two tables. With one more elimination, the final table will be set and play will conclude for the day. Who will it be? The three shortest stacks in the field right now are:

Michael Guzzardi - 500,000
Timothy English - 500,000
Hai Bo Chu - 640,000

English Leaves Guzzardi Crippled

Tim English
Tim English
Tim English raised to 52,000 from the button before Michael Guzzardi shoved all in from the big blind. English had 472,000 behind and Guzzardi just had him covered as he decided to make the call for his tournament life.

English: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Guzzardi: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The board produced {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{J-Hearts} to leave Guzzardi crippled with only 28,000 as English catapults to 960,000.

Not Quite Dead

The very next hand, Michael Guzzardi was all in from the small blind for 28,000 after Timothy English limped in from the cutoff. Tom Rafferty checked for three-way action.

Rafferty and English checked the hand all the way down on a board of {5-Spades} {A-Spades} {6-Clubs} {K-Spades} {J-Hearts}. Rafferty opened {J-Spades} {2-Hearts} at showdown, at which point Guzzardi announced he hadn't yet looked at his cards. He opened the first one -- an ace! {A-Diamonds}. The second was the {J-Diamonds} for two pair, aces and jacks. He's still alive and now has 96,000.

Michael Guzzardi Eliminated in 10th Place (AU$28,000)

Michael Guzzardi
Michael Guzzardi
Antonio Fazzolari raised to 60,000 from the cutoff and Hai Bo Chu made the call in the small blind before Michael Guzzardi moved all in for his last 76,000. Both Fazzolari and Chu made the call.

The two live players checked down the board of {7-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades} to attempt to eliminate the short-stacked Guzzardi.

Fazzolari tabled {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}, Chu bettered that with {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Guzzardi couldn't produce a higher pair as he revealed {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

Guzzardi becomes our final table bubble, eliminated in 10th place for AU$28,000 after a fine tournament showing.

With that our day concludes and our final table is set! We'll have the end of day chip counts for you shortly.
