Richard Lancaster got things underway by opening to 34,000. Much to the delight of the home fans, no one made the call and he hauls in the first pot of the day.

First Flop Taken By Gerome Guitteau

Preflop, Gerome Guitteau opened to 40,000 from middle position and Richard Lancaster made the call from the big blind.

The flop came {6-Clubs}

and both players checked to the {8-Clubs}

turn. On the turn Guitteau bet out 66,000 over the top of a Lancaster check. Lancaster folded his hand.

Simon Watts opened from early position to 30,000 chips and Michael Shinzaki decided to three-bet him to 86,000. Action folded back to Watts who pretty quickly pitched his cards.

Shinzaki flashed the {6-Hearts}

and tossed the other card into the muck.

Jason Brown opened to 33,000 from the cutoff and it folded to Assadour Assadourian in the big blind. He thought for a second before tossing his cards into the muck.

"I'm writing this down," said Assadourian. "You won't get away with this all day," he added.

"That time it wasn't a steal," replied Brown.

Ke Sijia Doubles Up

Ke Sijia gets the first big pot on the final table

Ke Sijia has become the first player to double up on the final table.

Preflop Sijia opened to 34,000 and Gerome Guitteau called from the big blind. They took a flop of {Q-Spades}

and Guitteau checked. Sijia took the invitation by moving his stack all in.

Guitteau thought a while before making the 260,000 chip call, tabling {7-Hearts}

for middle pair. Sijia was pretty happy when he rolled over his {A-Hearts}

.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds}

and the river was the {5-Clubs}

to move Sijia up to 610,000. Guitteau is down to 960,000.

Assadourian Chips Up

Assadour Assadourian opened from early position to 35,000 and Gerome Guitteau made the call in late position.

They saw a flop of {6-Spades}

and Assadourian fired out 40,000. Guitteau thought for a few moments before releasing.

Lancaster Overpowers Climo

Lance Climo entered the pot with a raise to 29,000 from the hijack position.

"Oh sorry bro, I didn't realise it was your blind!" he said tongue firmly in cheek to Richard Lancaster in the big blind, but Lancaster responded with a call.

They took a flop of {4-Clubs}

and Lancaster led out for 34,000. Climo popped it up to 110,000 but before Climo's chips were in the middle, Lancaster declared himself all in! Climo gave it up and Lancaster is off to a great start here this afternoon. He's up to 700,000 with Climo back under 200,000.
