Hong Hurting
Throughout the day we have chronicled just aggressive Ryan Hong has been playing. Well, its down to under half of the starting stack for Hong now after a recent hand saw him lose the majority of his chips.
It was all in preflop holding for Hong. His opponent held and by the time the board had ran out , Hong's chips would be going in the opposite direction to what he would like.

We have been notified that the official number and prize pool has been slightly delayed due to not being able to confirm the whereabouts of one PokerStars qualifier. Either way, this year's field has surpassed last year's field with either 245 or 246 official entrants.
It is interesting to note that there were 42 countries represented in the field, with biggest country representation Australia with 13%, then Japan with 8% and Korea with 6%.

Ewing Out The Door
We aren't exactly sure how it happened, but a disgruntled David Ewing was leaving the table and heading out the door with a board showing and an opponent's lingering on the table.

The Girl, The Leader
The girl with the sparkly fingernails, Emi Hibuse from Japan is seemingly the current chip leader in the room. Hibuse just eliminated another opponent with her , winning a preflop race to move up to 80,000 in chips.

Chan Down and Kan Up
Terrence Chan has taken a big hit to leave his tournament hanging by a thread as Raiden Kan has found a very nice double up.
It started with a raise to 1,000 from early position. Chan smooth-called in middle position before Kan moved all in for a total of 10,400 from the cutoff. The original raiser folded but Chan was pretty quick to get his chips in the middle.

Chan was unlucky to run into the bigger pair and he couldn’t spike a two-outer on the board. Kan doubles to 24,000 with Chan now in trouble with just 6,000.
