Within the first two days, the 493-entry strong field of the HK$25,000 Main Event of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) at the "PokerStars LIVE Macau at City of Dreams" has been reduced to its last 41 hopefuls and the money bubble burst in the penultimate level of last night. The goal for Day 3 is reaching the seven-handed final table on Sunday and best-positioned for that is XiaoHua Fu from China with 724,000 after twice scooping big pots by eliminating two opponents in the same hand.
Another trio is above half a million in chips: Fan Zhao (588,000), Kwet Yoong Lim Sam (580,000) and Zhenru Xie (519,000). Among the other notables still in contention are Alex Xiang Wei Lee (396,000), Nicolas Cardyn (350,000), Daniel Lee (346,000), Dapeng Mu (277,000), Gab Yong Kim (96,000) and Day 1a chip leader Zhifeng Yao (78,000).
All remaining players have HK$54,500 locked up for their efforts while everyone is gunning for the top-prize payout of HK$2,525,000. This includes entry to the HK$100,000 Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP) Main Event as well as lifting a shiny silver PokerStars trophy.
Play recommences in half an hour from now at 14:00 local time with blinds at 3,000-6,000 and a running ante of 1,000. The PokerNews live reporting team will be there to provide all key hands until a winner is crowned and there is also a coverage of the two-day HK$100,000 High Roller event as of 17:00 local time as well.

Play has recommenced today with blinds starting at 3,000/6,000 with a 1,000 ante.
The plan is to play today until we reach a final table of seven.
The action folded around to Zhifeng Yao in the small blind who bet enough to commit Hao Su all in. He obliged with a call and the cards were tabled.
Yao:
Su:
The board ran out to see Su unable to connect with the board as he was sent to the rail early on Day 3. For his efforts he’ll collect HKD$54,500.

As expected the action continued fast and furios. Shen Ming Yin and Chao Chen clashed in a preflop all in situation and both players had aces with weak kickers, though that would play a crucial role in the showdown.
Yin:
Chen:
The flop provided a pair of threes for Yin and bottom pair for Chen, who also held the nut flush draw. Both the turn and the river bricked and Chen headed to the payout desk.

Na was looking in great shape to double with the over pair until the board ran out to see Shi spike a nine on the flop to give him a winning set.
