Kristensen The Usual Talker

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Svein Jorgen Kristensen had just gotten aces cracked and was seeking for revenge, hero-calling a bet of 12,000 by Aaron Lim on the river of a {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} board. The {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} of the Norwegian were good and he showed the antics of yesterday as well, talking a lot and having fun: "You checked the king, snap call."

Dion Dumps

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Just minutes after doubling his short stack through the chip leader, Mavrangelos Dion has been coolered out of most of his chips.

Fellow Aussie Jesse McKenzie doubled through him with pocket kings versus pocket queens on a board of bricks and while McKenzie has suddenly jumped up near the top of the chip counts, Dion appears ready to hit the rail.

Fan Busts Wilke in Almost Endless Hand

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante
Dennis Wilke
Dennis Wilke

While another hand from one table over also had time called, the action on table 29 had reached the river of a {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board. A pot of about 50,000 chips had emerged and Dennis Wilke bet 16,500 with around 35,000 chips behind. Terry Fan took a long time to make a decision and the time was called on him.

After half a minute of consideration, Fan then moved all in and Wilke was in the think tank. Now the German got called time upon and ended up calling the shove to leave the table gutted once he was shown the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} by Fan. He didn't even show the cards either, so we can only guess what he had been calling with.

Choi Doubles Through Hsu; Hsu Then Vanishes

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Around 40,000 chips were in the pot until the {7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades} turn and Sungil Choi moved all in for 33,400. Leon Li-ta Hsu tanked and was called time upon by Svein Jorgen Kristensen after several minutes had passed. Hsu ended up calling with {A-}{10-} and Choi showed the {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, the {4-Spades} river bricked.

Hsu had about eight blinds left that he doubled up in a flip against Aaron Lim, but soon after the seat was occupied by another player.

Ng Shows Kings

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Norihito Suzuki and Inge Forsmo got involved in a nice four-bet pot with Sam Ng in the big blind reraising to 20,500 and getting called by both opponents. The Poker King Club regular then moved all in immediately on the {8-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} flop and both opponents folded. Ng showed them the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for top set and claimed the pot, manifesting his decent run early on Day 2.

Im Taps Tran

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante
Vivian Im

Mark Benasa made it 2,800 and Hai Ha Tran made the call before PokerStars Team Pro Vivian Im bumped it to 7,400 on the button.

Only Tran called, then led 8,500 into a {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop. Im called and Tran fired again on the {9-Spades} turn, making it 11,800. Im counted out her stack and fired back, raising it up to 25,600 total.

Now it was Tran's turn to count his stack, and he did, before making the call and checking the {3-Hearts} river. Im kept her foot on the accelerator, firing out another 40,500 chip bet.

Tran folded and as he finds himself in rebuilding mode, Im is inching up towards the top of the counts.

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A short-stacked James Hunter got the remainder of his stack in with the {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Sam Ng looked him up with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}. It was all over for the American after the turn of a {10-Hearts}{A-Spades}{K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board and he politely wished everyone good luck before leaving the tournament area.

Brion Busts Chia and Kim; Gets Confused

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After a three-way flop of {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Kinam Kim and Joachim Chia got their stacks in and were looked up by Adrian Brion. The Filipino held the biggest stack of the three players involved and also had the best hand as well.

Chia: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Kim: {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Brion: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The {A-Spades} turn and {J-Spades} river completed the board and Brion was confused. "Oh no, queen," thinking he had lost the hand. The other players on the table then corrected him and the Filipino was finally relieved.
