Soyza Back At Work

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On the river of a board {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Michael Soyza raised a bet of 12,500 by the big blind to 28,000 and forced a fold. A few minutes later he was spotted raking in the chips of Alex Lee, who he had already busted in the Main Event earlier today.

"You should have called. But thanks for folding, no gamble no future," Soyza said to a third player that had folded and thus allowed the Malaysian to deal the final blow.

In the meanwhile, Randy Lew has been eliminated by Christopher Park and headed to the rail.

Chong Gets a Lucky Double

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Victor Chong headed over to the media desk with the words "Do you want another hand?" and then explained his fortunate double through Calvin Lee. According to Chong, he four-bet shoved for 48,000 with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Lee called with {a-Spades}{k-Spades} to see the board run out {k-}{9-}{9-}{7-}{q-}.

Back and Forth on Table 8

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The double up galore on table eight appears to take on an extraordinary roller coaster ride, as first Daisuke Ogita doubled through Huahuan Feng before Oleg Titov doubled through Ogita.

Feng was caught in the crossfire when Ogita made the nut full house with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} on a board of {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for more than 85,000 on the river.

A few minutes later it was Titov that grinned with the words "we again" while he raked in his double. Whether or not the fireworks will slow down any time soon remains to be seen.
