Yea Approaches One Million

Yea the first to a million?
Yea the first to a million?
Steve Yea opened to 25,000 and Neil Arce called next to speak. With it folding round, Yea led for 30,000 on a flop of {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Arce passed, flashing pocket kings, with Yea raking in the pot pushing him close to a million in chips while flashing the {A-Clubs}.

Toge and Yea Chop It Up

Steve Yea has been busy with his opening raises. He opened another pot, this one to 25,000. Susumu Toge moved all in over the top of that raise for a total of 98,000. Once the dealer confirmed the count, Yea made the call.

Yea: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}
Toge: {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts}

All of the drama of a potential flush for one player was taken out of the hand on a rainbow flop of {5-Spades} {4-Clubs} {6-Hearts}. Once the turn {3-Hearts} and river {K-Hearts} hit the board, the dealer chopped the pot.

Arce Takes a Page From Yea

Steve Yea has done a masterful job on all three days of this tournament of pressuring his opponents. Neil Arce, with position on Yea, turned the tables. Yea opened for 25,000 and was called by Arce. Both players checked the {9-Spades} {6-Spades} {7-Spades} flop. The dealer produced another spade, the {10-Spades}, as the turn card. Yea fired out for 35,000. Arce quickly raised that bet to 100,000 and induced a fold from Yea.

Another All-In Split

Casey Kastle opened the action for 35,000. After Ron Kluber folded, Cicurel Didier moved all in for 182,000 total. Kastle made the call, bringing the crowd to the edge of their seats.

Kastle: {A-Spades} {K-Spades}
Didier: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}

Each player tabled the same hand. When the flop came down {j-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}, we were guaranteed of another chop.

Ron Kluber Eliminated in 6th Place ($30,000)

Ron Kluber eliminated in 6th place
Ron Kluber eliminated in 6th place
Ron Kluber opened to 35,000 and Steve Yea made the call from the small blind.

The flop fell down {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Yea checked to Kluber, who moved all in for just over 120,000 with Yea making the call.

Kluber: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Yea: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

With Yea ahead with his ace-ten high and flush draw, he would lock the pot up when the {J-Diamonds} fell on the turn to see Kluber drawing dead. The meaningless {Q-Diamonds} landed on the river to see Kluber head to the rail in sixth place, earning himself $30,000 in the process.

With the elimination of Kluber, Yea moves to over 1.2 million in chips and now has a strong stranglehold on this final table.

Toge Still Fighting

Susumu Toge is chipping up slowly, small pot by small pot. After getting a walk in the big blind, Toge was small blind the following hand. When action folded to him, he limped into the pot. Casey Kastle checked the big blind. The flop was {6-Clubs} {q-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. Toge led out for 20,000 and was rewarded with a quick fold by Kastle.
