Elias Gets Some Back

Level 6, Blinds: 500/1,000 (125)

It's been a rough start for series headliner Darren "Darren_Elias" Elias as he was down to less than 50,000 chips at one point, but he got some chips back at the end of Level 6 with a river shove. It was blind on blind against Anthony "supremetny" Chin. Elias raised to 4,000 and Chin called to see {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} on the flop.

Both players checked to the {5-Clubs} turn where Elias potted for 8,875. Chin called and the river was the {9-Spades}. Elias potted again for 26,625, and Chin gave up his hand after some time in the tank.

"Fitzgerald" Chips Up on River

Level 2, Blinds: 200/400 (60)

"Fitzgerald" limped under the gun, and "PhuneeeMuneee" raised to 3.200 from the button. "Wyeth" called from the big blind, as did "Fitzgerald". The flop came {q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and after a couple of checks "PhuneeeMuneee" bet 3,200.

Both players called to the {10-Spades} turn where it checked around to the {k-Hearts} river. After a check from "Wyeth", "Fitzgerald" bet 7,200, and got two folds and the pot.

BetMGM March Poker Mania Main Event is Set to Go

The 2022 BetMGM March Poker Mania is into the final leg now, with the final day of play scheduled for today. Among the marquee events on-deck is Mania #17: $1,060 Main Event with $100,000 guaranteed.

Action for the Main Event gets going at 5 pm ET, and players will start the day with 100,000 in chips. Blinds increase every 10 minutes while registration is still open in this 8-Max game, but when it closes after Level 18, the game will move to 12-minute levels.

That means players will have about 3 hours to get into the game late or rebuy if they lose all their chips. There are unlimited rebuys in this one during the first 18 levels, so players may be inclined to fire multiple times in search of Main Event glory and the biggest share of the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Among the players who will be in action today is New Jersey's headliner for the March Poker Mania series, Darren "Darren_Elias" Elias. Elias was on hand for the HU event on March 26 but failed to make it past the first round of play. He'll no doubt be hoping for a better showing in today's Main Event.

Stay tuned here for all the Main Event action as PokerNews will be on the virtual floor all day until a winner is decided.
