Jinwei Wang Eliminated in 8th Place ($1,831)

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Jinwei Wang - 8th Place
Jinwei Wang - 8th Place

Jinwei Wang held the button when Emad Alabsi opened to 125,000 from the cutoff.

Wang decided on a three-bet shove for his last 690,000, and without much hesitation James Boyle moved all in for the isolation four-bet, using his big stack to bully Andrew Zhu into folding his big blind. Alabsi also surrendered while congratulating himself on the disciplined fold.

Wang: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Boyle: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The two had been dealt racing hands and off they went to the flop, which came in Boyle's favor by falling {a-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and the river the {k-Spades}, sending Wang to the rail in 7th place, while building Boyle's big stack even higher.

Alex Katsman Eliminated in 9th Place ($1,221)

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Alex Katsman -9th Place
Alex Katsman -9th Place

Alex Katsman's last hand of the tournament was a classic coin flip, but unfortunately for him he called the wrong side.

Katsman's {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} was ran down by Andrew Zhu's {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} when the flop fell {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades}, and the turn and river failed to provide any miracles, coming {2-Spades} and {k-Clubs} respectively.

"No Ace?" ... Yeah Right

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
James Boyle just needed an ace... and he got it
James Boyle just needed an ace... and he got it

In a huge hand that went down before the recent break, Andrew Zhu played a huge hand against James Boyle that resulted in a new chip leader emerging.

Zhu held {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} while Boyle rolled over {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, and with more than a million chips up for grabs, not to mention the overwhelming lead and a pay jump, Zhu asked the dealer every poker player's last words at one point or another.

"No ace," he pleaded, just as the {5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop was fanned. As is usually the case when cowboys go down, it was a a bullet that did them in. The turn ({6-Clubs}) and river ({10-Spades}) bricked off and Zhu was left to stare at the board in agony while his stacks were cut down and delivered to Boyle.

All He Has His Bullets and His Word, and He Don't Break Them for No One

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante
Emad Alabsi is a man of his word
Emad Alabsi is a man of his word

Emad Alabsi already won a poker tournament this week... now he's just getting greedy.

Alabsi just scored a huge double through Miguel Borrero - backing up a boast he made moments earlier.

Borrero had chided Alabsi for an unspecified action, with the winner of Event 8 retorting "it doesn't matter anyway, I'm getting all your chips soon!"

Sure enough, after Borrero made an opening raise to 80,000 Alabsi sprung his trap, moving all in for 274,000 more. Borrero called off most of his stack with just {a-Spades}{9-Clubs} - admitting after the hand that his opponent's bluster had goaded him into the decision - only to see Alabsi roll over {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} like a man who speaks the truth.

The final run out of {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades} sent Alabsi the pot, as he backed up an earlier boast in style with the bullets.

Bob Gilbert Eliminated in 10th Place ($793)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante
Bob Gilbert - 10th Place
Bob Gilbert - 10th Place

Bob Gilbert began the final table as the short stack, and soon enough his last eight big blinds went into the middle on a preflop shove.

Ivan Polanco quickly made the call after the table folded around to him, and his {A-Clubs}{k-Spades} had Gilbert's {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} dominated.

The final board ran out {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Gilbert could not find a five, leaving him to offer his former opponents a "good game" before heading over to the payout desk to collect next month's rent money.

Chin Check

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante
Matt Chin - 11th Place
Matt Chin - 11th Place

After seeing the flop fall {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{a-Clubs} Andrew Zhu tapped the table and Matt Chin checked behind. The turn came {9-Hearts} and Zhu fired out for 100,000, before calling Chin's raise to 350,000.

The river card was the {5-Hearts} and Zhu bet 400,000 into Chin, who held only 420,000 behind.

Chin counted out the bet and sized Zhu up from across the table, before finally announcing "I think you missed the flush draw" and making the call.

"I have an ace," responded Zhu, telling him Chin the bad news with authority in his voice. Indeed, Zhu's {a-Spades}{7-Spades} was the winner when Chin's bluff-catcher turned out to be an outkicked {a-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

The 10 players still left with chips have reconvened at the final table, and a full table draw will be forthcoming shortly.

Christopher Thompson - 13th Place
Christopher Thompson - 13th Place

Christopher Thompson went broke after getting the last of a short stack in before the flop holding {k-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Andrew Zhu's {a-}{7-} held up for the ace-high win even after Thompson flopped a four-flush to nine outs to his arsenal.

Zhu has topped the million-chip plateau with the average stack sitting at a little over 700,000.

Leon Motola was heard calling for a six to hit the board, and while we missed the action ourselves, Jinwei Wang informed us that his {A-}{q-} had held up over Motola's {A-}{6-}.

Motola finished in 14th place here tonight, while Wang chipped up to more than the average stack.

Brian Rosengarten - 15th place
Brian Rosengarten - 15th place

After being busted on the direct bubble in Event 12 last night, Brian Rosengarten was determined to make the money here tonight.

He reached his goal and then some, but ultimately Rosengarten was eliminated in 15th place.

Rosengarten's last hand came when he flopped the nut flush draw with {a-Spades}{8-Spades} in the hole. Miguel Borrero put him at risk with {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and the board bricked off on the turn ({j-Hearts}) and river ({3-Hearts}).
