Nick Gandhi Eliminated in 9th Place ($2,832)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Nick Gandhi - 9th Place
Nick Gandhi - 9th Place

James Gettinger raised to 50,000 in the hijack seat, Nick Gandhi three-bet to 120,000 in the cutoff, and Bennett Ellenbogen cold-called in the small blind. Gettinger quickly got out of the way, and the dealer fanned a flop of {9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

Ellenbogen checked, Gandhi fired out a continuation bet, Ellenbogen moved all in, and Ghandi immediately called.

Ghandi: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Ellenbogen: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Ellenbogen flopped a set of jacks, but Gandhi was still alive when the turn brought the {k-Spades}. Any ace or king on the river would keep him alive and double him up, however the {6-Diamonds} was a meaningless card.

He was eliminated in ninth place, while Ellenbogen is up to 1.7 million chips.

Henry Lopez Eliminated in 10th Place ($1,841)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Henry Lopez - 10th Place
Henry Lopez - 10th Place

On one of the first hands back from break, Henry Lopez open-shoved for his last quarter million in middle position. Tom Dobrilovic re-shoved two places to his left, and the rest of the players folded.

Lopez: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Dobrilovic: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The kings held on a board of {8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, and Lopez was eliminated in a cooler.

Two More Busts

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
John Tavss, the chip leader entering the day, is gone
John Tavss, the chip leader entering the day, is gone

James Gettinger raised in late position, Nick Gandhi called on the button, and Roger Lovett defended his big blind. The flop fell {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}, Lovett bet the pot, and only Gandhi called.

The turn was the {5-Hearts}, Lovett moved all in before the card hit the felt, and Gandhi tanked for a considerable amount of time before calling.

Lovett: {10-}{6-}
Gandhi: {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Lovett was ahead, and in great shape to double, but the {q-Hearts} spiked on the river to eliminate Lovett.

Over on the outer table, John Tavss was all in and at risk for 395,000 with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}, but was crushed by Tom Dobrilovic's {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. The aces held on a board of {4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades}, and just like that the chip leader entering the day was gone.
