There are currently 488 entries in this event, already destroying the guarantee, and 35 percent of the field has been eliminated.
The 2014 Borgata Spring Poker Open Championship Event is set to kickoff momentarily in the Signature Room, and it will command our focus throughout the day, but we will be back with periodic updates, chip counts and big hands. As the tournament field thins to a more manageable number, we will bring you more direct coverage, and of course we will provide updates throughout the final table.
We've topped 700 entrants and with a registration line that is 50 players deep and approximately one hour left to register, those numbers are sure to climb - it wouldn't be a surprise to see a number well above 800. Among players we noticed in our run through of the tournament were Megan Milburn, Joe Boatwright, Luke Edwards, Joe Galazzo, Chris Tryba, and Papa Levy.
