Snowmen Hold for Weasen

After a flop of {j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Matt Weasen raised to 21,000 after an initial bet. A player who had checked out of the blinds moved all in for about 45,000, and the original bettor folded. Weasen made the call.

Weasen: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Opponent: {7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

"That's not what I wanted to see," Weasen said of his opponent's double-gutshot plus flush draw.

The {j-Diamonds} on the turn was exactly what he wanted to see, however, as it cut his opponent's outs down to the {10-Hearts}. The river was a heart, but it was the deuce, and Weasen's opponent hit the rail.

Weintraub Sets the Trap

Ian Weintraub called a button raise out of the small blind, and he checked the {2-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop. He called his opponent's bet, and the {7-Diamonds} turned. Weintraub checked once more, and his opponent pushed all in. Weintraub called.

Weintraub: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Both had top pair, but Weintraub had his unfortunate opponent outkicked. The river was the {j-Clubs} and Weintraub is now over 200,000.

"Heisenberg" Takes a Beat

Iverson Cotton "Heisenberg" Snuffer limped from an early position, and the big blind ended up pushing all in over the top of a raise. Snuffer moved in as well, and the other player folded.

Snuffer: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Big blind: {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Snuffer was well ahead, but the {2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop gave his opponent a pair. The {k-Hearts} turn improved that to two pair, and the {6-Diamonds} river didn't save Snuffer.

The big blind apologized profusely for the beat.

A player checked to Chad Brown on the end with the board reading {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Brown fired 25,000, and his opponent snap-called. Brown showed him {a-}{3-} for two pair, and his opponent rapped the table and mucked.

The next hand, Brown opened for 11,000 from late position, and one player called. The loser of the previous hand jammed for 46,800 from the big blind. Brown made the call, and the first caller folded.

Brown: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Opponent: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Both player got help on the {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, but the player with fives filled up when the {4-Spades} came on the turn. A {10-Clubs} completed the board, and Brown was forced to give his opponent from the previous hand a refund.
