"rumpthumper" Wins Event #9 Low: PLO8

One of the other tournaments to wrap up on Thursday night as the $10 buy-in Event #9 Low: $1,000 GTD PLO8, a tournament that drew 195 runners and offered up a $1,755 prize pool. "Jaggyboy13" Flops Set, Doubles

"Jaggyboy13" Doubles Through "mos7884"
"Jaggyboy13" Doubles Through "mos7884"

In Level 9 with blinds at 1,000/2,000 and an ante of 250, action went three ways to a flop of {3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} with 14,250 to show for it.

"All-in7" was in the small blind and checked to put action on "Jaggyboy13" in the big blind, who bet 7,100. "mos7884" was in the cutoff and called, as did "All-in7" to keep three-way action as the turn came {j-Hearts}.

"All-in7" checked again, and "Jaggyboy13" fired out another 17,800. "mos7884" raised all in for 70,200, and "All-in7" folded before "Jaggyboy13" called off their remaining chips, totaling slightly less.

"Jaggyboy13": {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
"mos7884": {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The two players found themselves having gotten chips in the middle with what was a flopped bottom set versus a flopped top two pair. "mos7884" would need a queen or a ten on the river in order to win the pot, but it came {9-Spades} to leave "Jaggyboy13" with the best hand, earning the double with their set of threes.

After the hand, "mos7884" was left with just over 12,000 but has spun that up to 61,156 in a couple of hands. "All-in7" also won a pot, bringing their stack north of 235,000.

Play was in Level 10 with blinds of 1,200/2,400 and an ante of 300 when "BokeemSpades" opened to 4,800 under the gun. "eatmealive" three-bet all in for around 46,000 from middle position. Action made its way back to "BokeemSpades" and they called.

"eatmealive": {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
"BokeemSpades": {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

The two found themselves off to the races and the flop {10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades} meant that the pot could still go either way. The turn {8-Diamonds} gave "eatmealive" a grand total of 20 outs to the river, and one came as {k-Hearts} rolled off to give them kings up and score them the double.

Good Flop for "MatchupProof"

"MatchupProof" Flops a Set of Jacks

In Level 12 with blinds of 1,600/3,200 and an ante of 400, "MatchupProof" opened the action with a raise to 6,400 in middle position. "Judiallin" called on the button and "BokeemSpades" defended their big blind.

The three players saw a flop of {j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and "BokeemSpades" checked. "MatchupProof" made a continuation-bet to 9,000 and "judiallin" raised to 30,200. "BokeemSpaes" folded and "MatchupProof" called.

The turn was {q-Hearts} and "MatchupProof" checked. "Judiallin" clicked the pot button and bet 84,800, sending "MatchupProof" into some thought before making the call. Action then went check-check on the river {3-Spades} to take the hand to showdown.

"MatchupProof" showed {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a flopped set of jacks and judiallin" mucked, unable to beat it to result in "MatchupProof" taking down the pot.

"alwaysliquid" Finds a Cooler, Doubles "xs-pain"

"xs-pain" Doubles Through "alwaysliquid"
"xs-pain" Doubles Through "alwaysliquid"

In Level 13 with blinds of 1,800/3,600 and an ante of 450, "xs-pain" opened to 9,400 in early position and received a call from "alwaysliquid" in the hijack. Two more players came along as well to take action four ways to a flop of {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Spades}.

Action checked to "xs-pain," who shoved all in for 88,350, which was double the size of the pot. "alwaysliquid" also went all in for barely more, and both other players folded.

"xs-pain": {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
"alwaysliquid": {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

"alwaysliquid" found their flopped top and bottom pair up against the top two pair of "xs-pain," leaving them in need of hitting a ten to win or running Broadway cards to get a chop. The turn {4-Spades} removed any chance of a chop, and the river {6-Hearts} completed the runout with aces and jacks remaining best for "xs-pain," who earned a double as a result.
