Welcome to the final day of the 2017 Cash Game Festival Gibraltar at Sunborn Casino. The festival has been a success with the casino breaking a record for the most ring game tables running at one time on Day 2 with seven tables and breaking the record once again one day later on Day 3 with eight tables.

As is often the case at Cash Game Festivals, it is difficult to gauge where one day ends and another day begins due to the nonstop activity both on and off the poker tables. The VIP party went into the wee hours of the morning with about half the party coming back to play poker. Many didn't leave until the sun came up.

For others, the day began with a trip up the famous Rock of Gibraltar to learn a little history while seeing a unique view of the region. The area is also notorious for monkeys and we will find out later in the coverage whether those attending the event sponsored by the Cash Game Festival if they had any funny stories about this.

As has been the case each day during the festival, Brandon Allen will host two televised feature tables with co-hosts popping in and out of the booth. The first table kicks off at 5:40 p.m. CEST (4:40 p.m. BST) and will be streamed on a 20-minute delay with stakes at €1/€2 no-limit on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel as well as will be broadcasted across multiple media outlets including PokerNews.

The second feature table will kick off three hours later, also on a 20-minute delay, at 8:40 p.m. CEST (7:40 p.m. BST).

The PokerNews Live Reporting is on hand to report on all the excitement during Day 5 complete with recaps, quotes, pictures and videos.

Feature Table Being Set Up

The £1/£2 feature table is currently being set-up. We will share a small surprise that energetic Cash Game Festival Project Manager Andro Loos will test his poker skills and appear on the table.

We will share a full line-up with some information about each player in about 20 minutes.

Familiar Names on the Early Feature Table

The first feature table just kicked off with stakes at £1/£2 no-limit hold'em. Here's a look at many familiar faces on the table. Two other familiar faces are commentating including Cash Game Festival Twitch Host Brandon Allen and guest host Ryan Davey.

British trader Greg Campbell has been on a few feature tables this festival and will be showcasing his skills once again in Seat 1.

Norwegian professional poker player Knut Rysstad is also making a return in Seat 2. Rysstad currently lives nearby the casino in Spain and has shown many of the players from out of town some of the hotspots during the festival.

United Kingdom's Wayne, who didn't share his surname, is in Seat 3. Another player that just shared his first name, Freddy is a few seats over in Seat 6.

Oscar Beccera who works as a pharmacist and lives in Gibraltar is in Seat 5. He joked that his biggest poker accomplishment is "still being married."

Rounding off the table is none other than Cash Game Festival Project Manager Andro Loos. Loos works hard behind the scenes to make everything about the festival a huge success and is just as hands on when the festival begins. His style can be unpredictable when he appears on the table and it will be curious to see how other players react to him.

Cash Game Festival regular Peter La Terra just joined the feature table. La Terra was among the crew at the VIP party and then at the poker tables well after the sun rose for the day. He also somehow made it to the tour of the Rock of Gibraltar that many of the players with the hospitality package attended before getting right back into the poker action.

Monika Zukowicz "Would Love to Go to Malta" For the Next Cash Game Festival

Monika Zukowicz
Monika Zukowicz

We said goodbye this morning to Betsafe Ambassador Monika Zukowicz, who headed back to her home country of Poland after spending four fun days at the 2017 Cash Game Festival Gibraltar.

Earlier in the festival, Zukowicz sat down with PokerNews so we could learn a bit more about the young lady behind the infectious smile she always has and her thoughts about her first experience at a Cash Game Festival.

You can read part one of our interview with Zukowicz here.

Zukowicz fell instantly in love with the Cash Game Festival due to the flexibility the festival provides when compared to traditional poker tournament festivals she has been to in the past.

"In the morning we still have time for sightseeing and touristic stuff," explained when asked what were some of the things she liked about the Cash Game Festival versus tournament festivals. "The festival allows for the perfect day schedule away from the casino."

The 2017 Cash Game Festival Gibraltar featured many activities away from the tables. But on the tables, players could either play games they already know and love or learn new ones. Zukowicz decided after seeing players having a great time playing Sviten Special to dive into the game even though she never heard of it in the past.

"I wasn't even familiar with the name of this game," Zukowicz said about Sviten Special. "I was thinking it was called Sweden Special. I never heard about this game before, but I am going to tell stories about this game because it was crazy. I really like to test new types of games. I really like Razz and crazy games that are not popular in Europe. When I was in Las Vegas last summer I was shocked that people weren't playing no-limit hold'em that much. When they are playing a side game they are more into mixed games and a different type of poker. Where here in Europe, it is all about no-limit hold'em and pot-limit Omaha and that's it. That is why I was so excited to learn about the game."

Zukowicz hopes that her trip to Gibraltar will be the first of many trips to Cash Game Festivals. She already has her eyes set on the next Cash Game Festival in Malta on June 14-18 after just being there for the MPN Poker Tour at the end of April. You can read more about this festival on the Cash Game Festival website.

"I would love to go to Malta," said Zukowicz. "As I said before, I really like the format of the Cash Game Festival. Going into playing, going back to the hotel and playing again is something most people do at tournament festivals. Especially as I just have been to Malta recently for a tournament festival where we had a catamaran trip and the festival organizers did their best to make this event really good. However, almost nobody attended since the day of tournaments ends pretty late and nobody was able to wake up in the morning and enjoy the trip."

On a different subject, Zukowicz poker dreams came true last summer when she was invited by Betsafe to attend to the 2016 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. She has her fingers crossed she will be able to revisit Sin City sometime soon.

"Going to Las Vegas last summer was my poker dream adventure. It was my first cooperation with Betsafe and they sent me to Las Vegas," said Zukowicz. "I made some blogs and did some live coverage for the Polish poker audience about how Polish poker players were doing."

I had media access to the WSOP. I was allowed to join the huge studio that people were sitting in for entire days, It was awesome and I had a great time.

What was even more awesome is I got to make interviews with many huge names in poker including Daniel Negreanu, Jason Somerville, Faraz Jaka, Joe Stapleton and Andre Aakari. I was super shocked. It was the first time I got to see these people that I see on TV. So that was a great experience. So, I hope one day I can go back to Las Vegas.

Knut Show Part 3 - Ties Cash Game Festival History

Knut Rysstad
Knut Rysstad

Knut Rysstad just tied Cash Game Festival history in a huge way by being the biggest winner on a feature table three times in one festival. Three-times across all Cash Game Festivals also ties a record. He cleaned house during the early session booking a profit of almost £1,800.

Right now he is tied with Italy's Federico Drassich who accomplished the same feat during the 2017 Cash Game Festival Slovenia at Perla Casino in March. Rysstad has a chance to hold the record all for himself as he is back competing right now on a £1/£2 no-limit holdém feature table.

Will Rysstad make history? Find out by Cash Game Festival Twitch channel or simply click on the Live Streaming tab here in our PokerNews coverage of the event.
