Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Jimmy Dewardt and Arne Borresen are both sitting on stacks of around 160,000 in chips.

In a recent hand, Dewardt bet 4,500 into a pot of around 13,000 with the {2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs} on the board and got a call from Juuso Wiksten. Both players checked after the {9-Clubs} came on the turn.

Dewardt turned over {k-Clubs}{2-Spades} for two pair which was good enough to win the pot.

Three Suited Big Slicks

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Terje Bremseth
Terje Bremseth

A player opened to 2,000 before Terje Bremseth jammed the button for around 24,000. Another player called from the small blind and the original raiser also called

Bremseth turned over {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and then commotion happened at the table with lots of shouting and cheering with one of the other players turning over {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and the third player turning over {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

The {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop made Bremseth vocally nervous as it gave one opponent a flush draw and another a backdoor flush draw. However, the {3-Spades} came on the turn followed by the {4-Spades} on the river and it was a three-way chop.

Meanwhile, at another table, Borresen has the unofficial chip lead in the tournament after growing his stack to 220,000 in chips.

Zitting Takes One for Dewerdt

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Jimmy Dewerdt's stack has taken a hit. Dewerdt check-called a bet of 8,000 from Kristian Zitting with about 20,000 chips in the pot with the {5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} on the board.

Dewerdt checked again after the {2-Spades} completed the board on the river and Zitting jammed for more than 40,000 in chips.

Dewerdt tanked for about two minutes before he said: "Guess you're jack is good."

He then folded his hand and the dealer sent the pot over to Zitting.
