Justin Bonomo Eliminated in 18th Place ($43,190)

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

From under the gun, Justin Bonomo raised to 13,000 and action folded around to Jason Mercier in the big blind. Mercier three-bet to 37,000 before Bonomo moved all in for almost 200,000. Mercier made the call.

Bonomo: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Mercier: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The flop was {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and it looked like Bonomo was going to double up again. However, the {k-Hearts} vaulted Mercier into a lead that he would hold through the {10-Hearts} river. Bonomo got up from the table, clearly disappointed, while Mercier stacked up 700,000 worth of chips.

Meyers Doubles

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Brandon Meyers stood from his chair as the announcement of "All in and call!" came from the dealer at his table.

"Kings versus king-queen," said Meyers to some of his fans up in the stands. Although we couldn't see the action from where we're seated, Meyers sat back down in his chair after the dealer ran the board and appeared to have doubled up. Isaac Baron was the opponent who sent over the chips to double him up.

Habib Owning Multi-Way Action

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop was seen three-ways. Hasan Habib was in the small blind position, Eugene Katchalov was in the big blind position and Jason Mercier was in middle position.

Habib and Katchalov checked to Mercier who bet 16,000. Habib called while Katchalov folded. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and this time both players checked. The river was the {5-Spades} and Habib fired out this time 30,000 which was good enough to take the pot from Mercier.

The very next hand, Mercier raised from under the gun to 12,000 and was called by Habib on the button and Sam Trickett in the big blind. The flop was {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Mercier continued for 14,000. Habib called while Trickett opted to check-fold.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and just like the previous hand, both players checked. The river was the {j-Spades} and Mercier checked again before Habib bet 35,000. Mercier checked one of his cards, then the other, then both together and slowly slid them to the dealer.

Mercier Wins Flips, What's New?

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Matt Glantz yelled over to Jason Mercier from one of the outer tables and asked, "Jason, you won a flip today?"

"Yeah, but I don't have all the chips I should. Gave some of them away already," responded Mercier.

"You got unlucky though, he only doubled up twice before you won the flip versus him," joked Glantz. With that comment, most of the room got a nice laugh.
