Anthony Spinella Doubles Through Dario Minieri

Anthony Spinella
Anthony Spinella
Anthony Spinella raised to 13,000 from middle position. Action folded around to Dario Minieri in the small blind. Minieri reraised for exactly what Spinella had left, a total of 86,500. The big bilnd folded and Spinella made the call. The players showed:

Spinella: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Minieri {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

With the board reading {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} by the river, Spinella's ace-king high was best and he doubled up to almost 180,000.

Markus Golser and William Thorson Tangle

We caught up to this hand on the flop. With roughly 22,000 in the pot and the board reading {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Markus Golser checked from the big blind and William Thorson bet 14,000 from the cutoff seat. Golser made the call and the {A-Diamonds} hit the turn. Both players checked and fifth street brought the {10-Diamonds}. Thorson checked again and Golser pushed out 21,000. Thorson thought for a while, but eventually passed.

Asger Boye Eliminated by Eric Koskas

Action folded around to Asger Boye and he raised to 13,500 from the cutoff seat. Eric Koskas then pushed out more than enough chips out to put Boye all in. Boye eventually made the call and the players showed:

Boye: {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Koskas: {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Koskas's pair of nines was best. Boye made a clearly dissapointed exit. Koskas however, is on a heater, with well over 600,000 in chips.

Mistake Gains Larsson a Double-Up

Eric Koskas raised pre-flop (as he does every other hand). Andreas Larsson meant to move all in but he put a stack of chips out and reached back for more chips before saying, "all in," and the dealer ruled it was a call. The flop came down {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} and all the chips got in the middle with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} of Andreas holding up against the {Q-Spades}{3-Spades} of Koskas. Koskas admitted he would have folded to the pre-flop all-in had it stood.

Chip Leaders

Jonas Klausen
Jonas Klausen
With 36 players left the biggest stacks are in the hands of these three players:

Jonas Klausen, 500,000
Eric Koskas, 460,000
Jason Mercier, 450,000

Clash of the Leaders

Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier
Jonas Klausen and Jason Mercier are the two chip leaders and they are seated next to each other. They get into a pot together from the blinds; each has 18,000 in pre-flop.

The flop is dealt {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Jonas bets 20,000, which is called by Jason.

The turn is the {K-Clubs} and Jonas bets 40,000, which is again called by Jason.

The river is the {J-Clubs} and Jonas bets 65,000. Jason moves all in. If he is called then one of them will become the first player over a million and chip leader by a long way. Jonas opts to fold and Jason shows him the {7-Diamonds} for his troubles.

After this hand Jason Mercier has the chip lead with 660,000 and Jonas Klausen drops back to 340,000.
