Pagano Loses a Ton with Aces

The pot sat well over 20,000 between Team PokerStars PRO Luca Pagano and PokerStars online qualifier Alexander Debus and the flop was {Q-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}. The action was on Debus and a bet of 10,000 had been laid out in front of him. Pagano made the call.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and action was on Debus after Pagano checked in the dark. Debus fired 22,000 this time. Pagano took about a half of a minute before annoucing that he was all in. Debus gave a big sigh and made the call.

Debus held {9-Hearts} {9-Spades} for a set of nines, now overtaking Pagano's {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}. The river was the final nine in the deck, the {9-Clubs}, and Debus doubled up. He was all in for 52,175 total on the turn and Luca passed over the chips.

Debus is now up to 150,000 while Pagano dropped to 45,000.

So Long, Skripchenko

Almira Skripchenko - Out
Almira Skripchenko - Out
With a raise in front of her, Almira Skripchenko moved the last ~13,000 of her chips into the middle. A few seats behind her, Alessio Isaia made a third raise over the top, folding the original raiser and putting Skripchenko heads up for her tournament life.

Showdown
Skripchenko: {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}
Isaia: {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds}

The flop was a promising miss for the at-risk lady as it fell {2-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {4-Hearts}. The turn was not so promising, though, as the {4-Clubs} left her drawing dead to Isaia's full house.

That's the end of the day for Skripchenko, leaving just EPT Presenter Michelle Orpe and Lisa Taphanel to represent the ladies here on Day 2.
